I thought this team was turning a corner then they play like this and Drew just stood there and let them. Come out after halftime and can't score for 5 minutes. Bad time to half their once a game 5 minute drought with Drew NOT doing a thing. No time out, no subs, just stands there and watches.
Late in the game they were 2 for 15 in three pointers. This team is so aggravating to watch.

I suppose you think Drew coached them to miss more than half their free throws, commit dumb fouls on three point shooters, and miss wide open looks, too?

The big brains on the premium board are so benevolent, educating us poors like this.

Drew didn't miss any free throws

Drew turned this team's defense from hot garbage to something sustainable, our lack of free throw making is not on him

I think he made good adjustments to their extended defense by getting the ball down low. Guys just couldn't throw ball into ocean tonight

He does seem to get out coached every time he goes against Tang

Our defense has been good since the 10 minute mark of the Oklahoma State game. Somehow our offense has turned to crap in Big 12 play, though.

We're getting nothing offensively from Missi or Nunn.
Really hope Love is inserted into the starting lineup.

Give Tang his due, but remember this is also his 2x per year championship game. This is the game he wants to win more than any other, including Kansas. Not saying Drew doesn't, but its much different being the protege than the master.

^^^^^^^

This is the perplexing transposition in conference play.

The game tonight and the game last year in Waco were down-to-the-wire "coin flips" that could've gone either way - both BU missed treys to win in regulation. Tang would tell you as much.

Coaching wasn't the issue. Tang has smarter and more disciplined players...that's the difference for this baylor team this season.

We've got to get the ball to Love more. Whether he starts or not does not matter for me.

I really liked how we posted him and when his man fronted we were able to throw a lob over the top for a lay in.

Love is a walking bucket, and I'd really like us to get him the ball on the elbow and wing where he can face up his defender. He's less effective when we use the weave and get him the ball 30 feet out and he's got to use his dribble.

Tang's team had 17 turnovers tonight and took many bad shots. I did not see a disciplined team.

All year long I've sold myself on Love coming off the bench for an offensive spark. With Nunn's repeated struggles in Big 12 games and high major games like Duke and Michigan St. in various phases of the game, I'm to the point I wish we'd see Love starting and playing 30 minutes and then maybe Nunn for 10 minutes.

Please. Careless with the ball all night long.

Hopefully that's the case Saturday. Nunn and Missi giving virtually nothing offensively in conference is why we're struggling on O imo. Love is a certified bucket. And I really don't think his defense is any worse than Nunns

I've been here for a little while now. I want it to click for Nunn, but I just don't think he's good enough to start for a top-15 team.

Right wrong or indifferent, this team desperately needs Jakobi Walter to score. The reason he plays 30+ minutes per game is not because of his defense or experience, its because he is our best offensive threat. In conference he is shooting 34% from the field and 19% from 3pt. We can't go through conference depending on Bridges, Nunn or Dennis to score consistently. Love is our only other dependable offensive threat, but our 5-star needs to start living up to his billing and fulfill his role on the team.

I'm curious on knowing all these times he was outcoached.

watch the game again and specifically watch Love on D. He's a step slow guarding his man when they turn the corner.

Nunn isn't good, but I agree starting Love would make our defense appreciably worse. Love's role as 6th man is not the problem with this team.

I'd gladly sacrifice that for his offense at this point. The O has been really bad for large chunks of conference. And unfortunately Jayden is a big reason why. It's not a coincidence that the O plays better with Love on the floor and Jayden on the bench.
I'd be ok with sacrificing Nunns lack of Offense if he was this defensive stopper we were promised. But he's not. He's an average defender at best, unless I'm missing something and that's entirely possible

As others have stated coaching is not this teams problem. When you look at this current roster it is at best a top 20 to 25 team. That coupled with the fact that the Big XII season is a gauntlet should lead folks to readjust their expectations. This year's team is good, not great.

It's not an either/or between Nunn and Love. Nunn is not good on either end, but someone has to get those minutes with the starting unit. Love has excelled as a 6th man and better to stagger Love's minutes off the bench to provide a scoring punch when one or more of Dennis, Walter, Bridges need a breather.

Love has been close to 30 minutes lately. I was always of the thought he's better served as 6th man. But the O is just too stagnant. We have 2 guys in our starting lineup who are really struggling to score. Missi and Nunn. Yes does other things to counter that. But Jayden doesn't do much of anything. Not a knock on him but against P5 comp he's been really really bad. I'd start Love and have Nunn spell for 10-12 a game

Love is a terrible defender - I'm tired of watching him get taken off the dribble time and time again

He's also our most reliable scorer. Gotta take the good with the bad. Offense is our issue the last 3 games. Not defense

Reliable scorer and pretty decent rebounder.

Weakside help for this team needs their head on a swivel in general.

The Kats' defense was a step quicker than our offense, not missing many switches and playing in our jocks so tight that getting really open shots was tough. We were harrassed all night long on most shots. That was a disciplined defense to go with a constant flood into the paint. Bears did a good job rebounding and poor job on second/third shots, both in close and outside. Refs, for whatever reason, let 'em take the scrum approach to defense and the Kats came to play that game. Still, should have won on FT's alone. It's unreasonable and inaccurate to say Drew was out coached.

Stay away from commenting on hoops. Drew didn't get out coached

His players couldn't make a shot to save their life last night
