I may be being a Debbie downer. But I'll be shocked if Shead, Cryer, Sharpe don't absolutely obliterate our guards. Houston's B game will beat BU this year.
I think it will be close in Waco. But they're a lot better than we are at winning close games. Hopefully we'll be playing better basketball by the time that one rolls around.IowaBear said:

Pop Isaacs and Tamin Lipsey are in that conversation, too.DanaDane said:
Shead's gotta be one of the Top 3, if not the leader, at this point for Conference POY.
A six-point lead with 10 minutes left really isn't much, and that was reduced to four immediately because Nunn's missed layup turned into a transition bucket on the other end.Quinton said:
Tex routinely plays like this down the stretch and somehow we gave away a 6 pt lead and disappeared late game. Unbelievable
You and me both. That's a 9-3 finish against the toughest schedule in the country. I can't see that happening personally.DanaDane said:
If the basketball gods offered me a 12-6 finish in the league for us, I'd take it in a heartbeat!
Not sure. But that was karma. The Houston forward got fouled hard on the rebound before that with no call.DanaDane said:
Who in the world was Hunter throwing that to?
It's crazy. This is an awesome league.DanaDane said:
I mean how INSANE is it that almost every Big 12 game comes down to situations like this.
Not great. Fortunately, it didn't end up costing them.IowaBear said:
Man what a pathetic last possession by Houston. I'll never understand settling for fade away 3s in this situation.
Houston knows how to stop the ball and isn't incompetent in transition D.boognish_bear said:
I was waiting to see UT run the length of the floor for the buzzer beating layup play again
I like the idea of expanding to include Gonzaga, UConn, etc., just because no meaningful basketball tournament could be played without the Big 12 being part of it.DanaDane said:
I get that basketball is never gonna have the contract value of football but Yormark is spot on in trying to figure how to maximize the value of Big 12 basketball, whether or not that involves expansion. Basketball could be a tremendously valuable asset for the conference.
