Disu has become a really good player. I like his game.

Shead's gotta be one of the Top 3, if not the leader, at this point for Conference POY.

I think it will be close in Waco. But they're a lot better than we are at winning close games. Hopefully we'll be playing better basketball by the time that one rolls around.

Pop Isaacs and Tamin Lipsey are in that conversation, too.

And then obviously Kevin McCullar or Hunter Dickinson. But if Kansas keeps losing games, it will be hard to give it to one of them.

Assuming Tech comes back to reality..how many losses will the champion have ..5? or more?

A six-point lead with 10 minutes left really isn't much, and that was reduced to four immediately because Nunn's missed layup turned into a transition bucket on the other end.

That four-point swing completely changed that game. We have way too many sequences like that where we surrender momentum to our opponent and go from controlling a game to being stuck in a dogfight late.

Preseason, I predicted 13-5 would win it. I think I'm not gonna be far off.

Yeah..this is like a golf tournament..if you told me Baylor could get in the clubhouse early and post a 12-6 record now id like our chances.

As you've said, Big 12 teams are so evenly matched it typically comes down to a few plays so you have to value every possession. Seems like we've had things ranging from Nunn's missed layup, to Missi's missed lay up instead of dunk, to Dennis' weary legs slipping and him essentially handing the ball to TCU, and then was it Josh O's big mistake at K State when he made the bad decision at wrong time with outside shot. Conversely, Tech has had them go their way at Norman last Saturday and against K State.

Shead is singlehandedly keeping Houston in this one. He's been a dawg tonight.

You and me both. That's a 9-3 finish against the toughest schedule in the country. I can't see that happening personally.

He didn't finish, but that baseline move by Shead was sick.

This has turned into a really good game. I didn't foresee that happening when it was 13-12 with 8 1/2 minutes to play in the first half.

I think Vegas would give me very high odds on that finish right now. ha

Not sure. But that was karma. The Houston forward got fouled hard on the rebound before that with no call.

These games are a lot less stressful when your team's not in them.

He shouldn't be in. He's been hobbling and pressing since subbed back in from cramps. You hold until 8 seconds for a shot.

It's crazy. This is an awesome league.

Football's the same way in terms of parity and excitement. It's not as strong obviously, but from an entertainment standpoint, I'll take the Big 12 over any conference in the country.

I'm forced to root for the Frogs tomorrow night...ugh..can't remember when that's been the case in any sport.

Houston knows how to stop the ball and isn't incompetent in transition D.

I get that basketball is never gonna have the contract value of football but Yormark is spot on in trying to figure how to maximize the value of Big 12 basketball, whether or not that involves expansion. Basketball could be a tremendously valuable asset for the conference.

Great play actually there by Texas. Just not enough time

They got completely split on that play though. Would have been trouble with 4 or more seconds. Yes out D on that game winner was still trash

I like the idea of expanding to include Gonzaga, UConn, etc., just because no meaningful basketball tournament could be played without the Big 12 being part of it.

Half of the top 10 would come from our league every year.
