Will anybody else be at the Baylor-BYU game??

I live in Utah and have tickets to the Bears' game against BYU at the Marriott Center, in Section 110, way up high and behind the visitors' bench (WAY behind it).

Will any other Baylor people be there also? I'd love to say hello. A fellow fan would be good to see since we're going to be greatly outnumbered.

I think many of us would love to join you but most of us live in Texas and a road trip that far is out of the question, especially with the game is on a weeknight.

I looked up that the Marriott Center's listed capacity is 17,978, BUT my Baylor grad son will be with me.

So make it 17,976 to 2!

That's much better than you calculated. Basically, it's twice as good! (Or should I say only half as bad?)

I just looked up the Battle of Thermopylae and found that the famed 300 Spartans were outnumbered by perhaps "only" 250- or 400-to-1. (Evidently because the 300 actually had a few thousand non-Spartan fighters who helped them out.)

Exact numbers of those ancient Greeks vs. Persians are debated, of course. But clearly my son and I will be facing even worse odds in the stands at the BYU game. So please pray for us.

Yes, I already have a will written and signed.

Thankfully it won't be a battle to the death on or off the court. I don't expect the Mormons to get violent!

On a side note, imagine Leonidas singing "Music of the Night". He's the same actor who played the Phantom of the Opera!

You won't likely have to worry but if your near court side the BYU coach has been seen smashing water bottles and drenching those nearby. Beware!

Their arena is nearly 3X the size of FP (19K to 7K); hope the team can handle a large, hostile crowd.
