Edgecombe is impressive, but I am beyond happy that we finally recruited a TRUE PG in the form of Wright.

I would be even happier if we somehow could keep wright around for more than the 1 year. We haven't had that stabilizing force at PG since the days of Davion and Butler.

I remember those days. Youngsters, back in that era, you had to sit out a year if you transferred schools. Those were the good ole days.

Doubt Wright is one and done. His height is going to limit his draft potential. Not too many 6 foot guys in the NBA anymore. Not sure if I can think of any off top of my head.

Wright has a few "perceived limitations " for the pros so keeping him two or three seasons might be possible. Great skills though. If he was 3 inches taller he would be consensus top 5. Sounds like a recruit right in the sweet spot that guys like bear2 would prefer.

Our AZ recruit will also probably be here a few years too.

I sure hope that is the case!

What is wingspan? A 6-0 or 6-1 guy could actually be "longer" than a guy 6-2 or 6-3 depending on wingspan. Plenty of 6-2 guys in the league with longer wingspan. Not arguing though it would be nice if he could stick around a couple of years

Not sure but it's a good point. Think it's pretty average wingspan though.

This makes our struggles on defense even more confusing. We are extremely long when factoring wingspan.

Everyone outside of Grimes on the initial roster has 6' 7" or more wingspan. We are extremely "long" for a college team.
