Is there a scenario where we will ever see 2 of our 3 bigs (Josh O, Missi, EJ) on the floor at the same time?

Could have used that yesterday. Needed rebounds and rim protection.

No. We'll give up layup lines defensively. The high low still works for Mulkey because women can't use the space as fast. But in the men's game you need 4 guys on the floor that can guard on the perimeter at all times. Otherwise we would like Gonzaga against Baylor.

I was thinking more like late game, single possession situations

I'm not sure you even need the high low. You just need a competent post player on the block as I posted in another thread. YM was clearly trying to post up on the block in the second half and he got called for BS offensive fouls twice.

BYU not that talented. We are. They just are scrappier and more physical. Love how they attacked offensive boards. That is just desire.

Maybe helps in a 2-3 zone from a defensive standpoint, but it also creates a challenge on the offensive side of the ball. I haven't seen enough of Jon to assume he can play significant minutes or creates any offense.
I suppose I would be an interesting matchup for team that plays two bigs but that is such a rarity now.

We didn't get outrebounded because we were short. It wasn't a question of height. BYU's leading offensive rebounders were 6'4" and 6"5" guards who pounded the offensive glass and followed the ball movement off misses. It was a question of physicality, desire and timing as 3 point misses tend to ricochet farther out than short jumpers so your guards and wing have to be heavily involved rebounding against a team firing that many 3's up like BYU does.

Offensively, neither Missi nor Josh have shown an ability to play any type of high post game so I'm not sure what having both of them on the court would do other than limit our ball movement even more. Jonathan is a non-factor.

I don't know if it would work but it would make us a little more unpredictable on offense. I wouldn't mind seeing it tried in non critical situations.

And even if they were versatile enough defensively to do it, we also don't have the depth at the post position to play two at the same time either.

I wasn't thinking of rebounding or, even the BYU game specifically.

I'm thinking of late game situations where we have to have a bucket. Can we show a look nobody has seen all year to get an easy 2-footer.

In late game situations where a TO would be called to make offensive/defensive substitutions, could we not go with two bigs

I hear what you're saying, and it might be worthy of a try, but I just don't see who is gonna make the entry passes into them. RayJ is the only good entry pass guy I've seen this year. The fact we only had 1 player (RayJ) get any assists in a game (last night) is mind boggling to say the least.

Man, I know race doesn't matter but it was super annoying watching the white boys from Provo physically put it on us. They were just dawgs
