A lot of the NIL business never made sense to me. It's like the guys from the Lehmen Brothers bank got into college sports.

Lehman. I think the more apt comparison might be Countrywide, since they were originating all the loans (sub-prime) thinking good times will last forever. Colleges themselves may be Lehman, collapsing under their own illiquidity.
