At least he didn't body check one of our players.
Kid is annoying as hell, but probably would see it differently if he played for the good guys.
Nah dirty players are dirty players regardless of who they play for.
He's been a dirty player for all 8 years of his college career. Because of his stupid behavior last night it helped fuel Baylor's comeback. Glad to send the horns off with a loss.

I posted during the game last night that he started off fairly innocuously. He had the one reach-in in the first half where he didn't get called, but he didn't dive into the pile after the loose ball. Went 1-2 from the field, 1-2 from the line.
However, after halftime:
14:57 foul #1 (UT up 12)
9:18 foul #2 (UT up 4)
9:13 foul #3 (UT up 4, shooting foul, Walter hits both)
7:23 foul #4 (UT up 1, Bridges goes 1-2 and ties game)
6:15 missed shot (BU up 4)
5:53 missed shot (BU up 4)
5:37 foul #5 (BU up 4)
5:37 foul #5 upgraded to flagrant, so in essence foul #6 (BU up 4, Walter hits both, Dennis hits jumper to go up 8, UT never gets closer than 5 the rest of the way)
However, after halftime:

I thought the flagrant upgrade was a bad call honestly. I get that he's a dirty player, but he wasn't being particularly dirty last night, and I don't think that rose to the level of a flagrant at all. It's not like he was being Draymond Green and punching guys in the nuts, choking them, or trying to break their ribs and only getting a slap on the wrist.
It WAS flagrant.

It was the follow through that made it intentional, it was not a "basketball" move, more of a football block.

I kept yelling "shoot" every time he touched the ball. He's bad and a punk and all he offers is being a bully and fouling a lot and he and some UT fans think this makes him a special "hustle guy". It hurts UT when he is on the floor. I hope he figures out a way to play 4 more years.gobears20 said:

If it had been anyone other than Cunningham, it might not have been upgraded.
He has something of a reputation.

I thought it was flagrant. Not "mean" flagrant but I think he extended the arm just enough to warrant the call.

Not many basketball teams have enough NIL to afford a hockey goon, but UT is just that #blessed.
Cunningham is a cheap-shot artist. He tries to disguise it but it's obvious he's throwing hands, elbows and hips on almost every play and always acting like he didn't do anything. He got the output he deserved last night,.

I've posted several times that my son grew up in Austin playing against Brock starting with 2nd grade coach pitch. Ed was the coach and he was a dumpster fire of a dad. Made his daughter play on the boys team and chewed her out when she struck out. The mom is no angel. She would coach some of the summer league teams and was not shy about cussing out officials. Brock was so old in Jr High, that he also played on the high school JV team. I'm not kidding.
