So tired of hearing from coaches and fans about foul counts.it is has nothing to do with officials being biased. They call what they see and sometimes one team fouls more than another. In the second half we were driving the ball to the basket almost every possesiin drawing fouls. If you want less fouls called on you than yoir opponnent then play better defense.

They (Baylor) needed every call that they could get today in terms of getting it done here at home" Rodney Terry

This comment is just so bush league. Basically he is saying the only way we win is because of the refs. More Rodney speaks out the less I like this guy.

You won't see him much longer. He'll be in the SEC, and he'll coach next year because of Tre, and they'll probably win enough to get into the tournament, but they'll never be good enough for Texas, and he'll be gone in about 3 years.

Texas plays tight defense and body fouls on almost every possession, many were not called. Just wait until the dance, Texas will probably foul out 5 guys and be one and done.

The only reason half of their team didn't foul out is because the officials waited until the 2nd half to start calling them.

The difference between Terry and Drew is amazing. Drew did nothing but lift up the University of Texas. He probably would have done so in defeat, also. Terry, on the other hand, does not know how to set his emotions aside for a moment.

How many times have we been on the other side of 35 or 40 foul shots by the other team. We know how they feel, and maybe not all of those calls should have been made, Or maybe they should have called a few more on Baylor, but it happens. I'm not sure, however, that the University of Texas has ever been on the receiving end of it. Baylor sure has.

Terry also needs to be happy that Baylor missed the front end of at least two one-and-ones, and missed both free throws at least twice. Could have been worse.

And, the refs could have called a few things they didn't call on UT. I thought three or four were obvious. UT also missed the front end of at least 2 one and ones and cost themselves.

As another said, Terry should take the beam out of his own eye... By the way, as for Terry's comment that Baylor needed all of those fouls to win at home, perhaps if there weren't so many fouls, Baylor would have made a lot more shots. He just needs to chill.

I mean a lot of the fouls were fouls if not all of them. So I'm not sure how you can complain about it. They were fouling because they were outmatched in second half with fatigue setting it. I'm a pretty fair observer and when Baylor makes a clear foul and it's not called I say it even though I'm glad it wasn't called. I didn't feel like there were many non calls against Baylor that were obvious. I mean there just isn't any way that Baylor would get preferential treatment over Texas, just not gonna happen.

Texas did play a really great game, and in many cases would have won a game like that but just not against this Baylor team.

Terry's squad went over 9 minutes in the second half where they only scored 5 points, and all those points scored were free throws...they didn't make a FG for over 9 minutes in the second half....that's why they lost

Yep, this. Lack of scoring is why they lost this one.

Yes, even foul counts really is a bad metric by itself. It's also an indication that the refs may intentionally be overlooking fouls by one team more than the other. Take UHs style,I do not know the stats but they should have way more fouls than most other leaders in the B12,by alot.

Terry should rewatch the game and not just look at the box score.
UT intentionally fouling at the end which added to the box score.
Zone defense typically leads to less fouls than aggressive man to man.
Refs missed or let go several fouls on UT (and us too) It could have been worse.

Maybe we got a slight edge in calls but it was an evenly called game and we would have beat them by 12 if we hadn't slowed it down and let them get a couple of uncontested shots the end to avoid fouls.

Then writer did a decent job on this article. He did point out Terry was crying fouls. That is true.

This is exactly what I was thinking watching ISU play last night. if they get a crew that will call a tight game, they are in big trouble.

Terry crying foul about officiating and crying about Whorns down. I'm glad he is their coach. UT always blaming someone else for being f'g losers.
