Maybe it's wishful thinking but we do have genuine reasons to be optimistic. We shall see.

I think our A game is the best in the Country. Problem is we can't control what team shows up.

We could win it all, or go out early. Fun team!

I hope our floor is Sweet 16. We are due for it. I also think Elite 8 is definitely within reach. Much depends on brackets.

I think Uconn has the best "A game" and isn't that close.

But if we're talking upside, I think Bu is 4th or 5th, just don't know if they'll ever hit it. I've maintained that throughout the year. This is the most talented team in our league. Just young and strange defensive off fit.

Right below Uconn and Up there with a Kentucky type team for potential when we put it together.

Defense really needs to step it up for this to be true.

Yep, UConn is that team, they will be incredibly hard to beat. Tennessee looks really tough as well, but have a harder time scoring. The Bears have a shot, I think a Purdue matchup might be the best possible one seed match-up for them. I think we have two bigs that could slow down Edey, and Jon could come in to create a couple of extra fouls if necessary. Still have to get there, but this team will be a tough out. I don't think they get blown out by anyone except maybe UConn.

Yes. I have seen flashes of good defense from Baylor, but only in fits and spurts. Nothing really sustained.

I agree. I also think TN finally has some offense that makes them tough. They have a 23 yr old who is also a pro talent.. perfect combination for college ball if you can find it. I see it as:

  • Best team / best balance - UConn. Easily in my view. Best combination of talent and experience. They match up really well with the other perceived "top" teams
  • Most difficult one man matchup - Purdue. Big man
  • Most motivated / hardest playing - Houston. Never seen this teams' effort wane in any game
  • Most raw talent - UK, but probably too young
  • Honorable Mention talent upside - BU, Duke
  • Poor man's UConn (balance/experience/talent)- Creighton, UNC, AZ

Creighton is a really tough match up as well, they would equal Baylor on talent level in my opinion and most of the team has played 2 years together. They are also playing as well as anyone right now.
