Houston @UHCougarMBK is among schools in talks to play in eight-team men’s basketball event in Las Vegas this fall that would guarantee $1 million in NIL to be split between players for each school and another $1 million to winner, a source confirms. @FOS first reported.

I'm not usually a conspiracy guy, but the increased Vegas-izing of sports is not going to be great in the long run. Vegas is not in the business of fair competition, and becoming beholden to Vegas money seems like a slippery slope. Even slipperier than other NIL slopes.
