What seed could we possibly get in the NCAA?

2! 25-9 in the B12 is easily a 2 seed. That what means wins over KU/Cincy in quarters ISU/TX in Semis, and Houston (likely) in finals.
I'm just hoping to win 1. We got a great draw and a legit shot to make a run in KC.

The Athletic has as a 2 seed now, but that is the only media source I have seen with that post the Tech loss. IMO we would have to get to championship game and play it really close to get a 2. I'm a total homer and don't think we deserve it unless we do that at a minimum.

Jerry Palm with CBS still has us as a 2 seed.

2nd toughest schedule and 9 Q1 wins is fourth most in the country.

Gotta win a couple more and root against Creighton, Marquette and ISU.

Just saw the AP poll and we are 14, behind Auburn and Illinois. Don't normally love the Big 12 tourney, but it's important this year for seeding and to get Love some more time back with the team.

They'll have us slotted by the time the game starts Sunday if we're there. Maybe could move up or down with win or loss, but it won't be the point margin that will determine it.

See that Jerry Palm with CBS has us, UNC, Marquette and Arizona as 2 seeds. I personally think UNC deserves the 1 seed over Tennessee. They also have the head to head. I think we get the 3 seed unless we play a hell of a game in the Championship game. Be curious to see if UH puts everything into it. They have a one seed locked, but maybe if they want an overall number 1. They also have had some injuries and might not want to push the big 12 tourney if their end goal in a National title. You only get so many shots.

Agree, the AP past the top 5 is sort of worthless, but does play into the "ranked" wins/losses, although admittedly not sure with the quad system if those matter as much anymore. I can't remember which stat barometer the committee uses outside of Kenpom.

At 14th in both the KenPom and Net rankings, I can't see us climbing high enough to get a two seed. But I'd love to be surprised.

Houston, Purdue and UConn are locks for No. 1 seeds. Arizona, Tennessee and North Carolina are locks for a 1 or a 2. That only leaves two other spots, and we're battling with really good teams -- Auburn, Alabama, Iowa State, Duke, Creighton, Marquette, etc. -- for one of them.

I believe it is KenPom, NET, and quad wins. I think the selection committee usually gets it right with their selections and seeding. CFP committee should take notes!

Thanks! Ya, I do feel like it is rare to have misses at the top. There will always be controversy for bubble teams, but kind of splitting hairs when you get tot that point.

If we win it and run one of Iowa st or Houston off the floor.. we are a 2. Other than that, completely up in the air.

If we win it all in KC then that probably means wins over Kansas, Iowa State, & Houston. Those are quality teams (#1, 7 & 16) and all are Quad 1. We already have a good resume. Those three presumptive wins would enhance it significantly. Does that translate into a 2 seed? I don't know how the committee thinks so I can only guess.

I would be curious to see another matchup with ISU. Houston is too much of a grind without a lot of return. If we win the tourney, I don't think it matters who it is against, still have a shot at the 2, but need some chips to fall our way.

Confident we beat Iowa st in a neutral game. But the crowd advantage in KC might be too much. Not confident at all with this group in hostile environments. Iowa St really shows up for this tournament

True. Any team that's on the bubble could've easily avoided it by winning 1-2 more games

#8 Creighton and #11 Duke lost today.

#10 Marquette went to OT against Nova....but ended up winning

I guess, but the play took way too long and the basket wasn't good, so I'm not sure it was that well drawn up.

If we beat ISU it'll be interesting to see how the selection committee factors in us being 2-0 against them head to head with us having somewhat close resumes.

If we were to win it would be a neutral site win....although you could almost call it a road win.
