Ashley Hodge: Baylor’s Resume Stacks Up With the Best of Them & Could Be a 2 Seed

I don't understand the constant need for hyperbole on this site. "The best of them" is Houston, UConn and Purdue, and our resume doesn't come close to stacking up with theirs.

We have a strong body of work. But we're most likely looking at a No. 3 ceiling. This is a unique year at the top of college basketball, but we're in a pool of about six or seven teams vying for the final two No. 2 seeds, and we're the only team on that list with nine losses and splits in every home and home we've played.

Would I rather have a 2 seed in the strongest bracket or the 3 seed in the weakest bracket? Personally, from just a strategic perspective, I might rather have the 3 seed. Help me out here.

If that 1 seed is Purdue…. We want that last 2. BU stacks up with them very very well. UConn? Not so much

There's very little difference in being the last 2 Seed or the First 3 Seed other than the honor of the number. Houston has 3 Big XII losses. I don't think Purdue and UConn would only have 3 Big XII losses if they played our Big XII schedule. The Committee is going to like our body of work.
