Some of you guys are displaying confidence that is way over reality. We only beat Cincy by 3 in Waco. Don't buy into the 3 games in 3 days. It will be a close game, IMO.

Also, Cincy presently still has a shot at playing their way into the dance and they know a win over us just might get them there. This is definitely no gimme and we're going to have to earn a win.

They probably need one more, but yes this will be a tight game likely. One thing to note is Bridges had 4 the first time we played, I doubt that happens again. Plus Missi is a much better player than 15 games ago.

Big 12 quarterfinal: Cincinnati vs. Baylor (approx. 9:30, ESPN2)
Cincinnati, the No. 11 seed, crushed shorthanded Kansas on Wednesday to keep its faint at-large hopes alive. The Bearcats (20-13) and their stingy defense will be tested by third-seeded Baylor (22-9), which owns the most efficient offense in Big 12 play according to KenPom.com.
Bracket impact: Another win would help Cincinnati apply some pressure to the committee, but it is still a team with a 4-10 record in Quadrant 1 games and a pair of Quadrant 3 losses. Simply getting to the Big 12 semifinals probably won't get the job done.

That's the problem for them: their record isn't good enough for the big dance.

Maybe this year will wake up the conference and convince the other teams to schedule better non conference games. The conference should require a certain number of P6 (soon P5) games like they do with football. The goal is to get as meany teams into the tournament as possible.

That wouldn't have helped Cincinnati. Their problem was they didn't win enough Big 12 games. That's a good team that lost too many close games.

I'm with you, in general, on nonconference schedules, though. There's no reason not to challenge yourself in a sport where early-season losses to good teams don't really hurt you.

When BYU's 3pt shots are on, they are very good.

When they are off, they are very bad.

BYU shoots 3-18 from 3 (and only 4-15 from 2) in the first half and trail Tech by 19.

No Big 12 team is ever likely to get in with a 7-11 conference record, regardless of their nonconference strength of schedule.

Hartness & Pollard! What a duo!

Already flagrant 1's called and a technical. Are they eager to throw out a coach?

I hope ole Jeb is doing the morning sesh only and not our game. I assume Mack has asked the league that he not be paired with us for some time.

He might have made the request. We have no reason to expect the league would honor it.

In 6 minutes, TCU has ZERO points!

Lots of offensive rebounding and 2nd or 3rd chances but no buckets. No free throw attempts either.

Yes, but Houston's defense is amazing & their offense don't bad either. They play like the #1 team in the country.

Everyone keeps trying to pick that team apart. I think it's really damn good. I'd be surprised if they lose before the Elite Eight.

I seriously expect Houston to go to Phoenix & maybe play for a natty. Thus may be wishful thinking, if we don't get there. I real dream come true would be both Baylor & Houston in the FF but that's almost impossible.
