Very surprising result. Haven't watched but I'd guess BYU is shooting terrible from 3

Granted BYU is terrible today, but it's looking more and more like TTech might also be starting to peak at the right time of year. Could be a dangerous team in the dance.

Tech has been sneaky good all year. Grant McCasland is an excellent basketball coach.

If Scott Drew ever were to leave, he would be my top choice to replace him by a mile.

Over Tang? I guess it's great to have two options to call if Drew ever left.

Yes. I think McCasland is the better coach. He's won everywhere he's ever been. But I'd be happy with either.

If they both got those programs rolling, why would they leave?

$$$$

This assumes that $$$ is more important to them than other considerations. It's true of most coaches. I'm not sure it's true of Drew which is why I'm not concerned about the silly Louisville rumors. It's quite possible that Tang & McCasland have a similar attitude to Drew's.

McCasland is a Baylor grad, so that could be one reason. And it's not like Drew would be getting fired in that scenario. Whoever follows him will be taking over the most successful program in Texas and a top-three program in the Big 12.

Grant might still be young enough to take the job. Plus, he has the first name tones Baylor coaching legend.

Houston's defense is no joke. And they're efficient enough offensively to take advantage of it this year.

Technical foul on Tang .. Interesting that Otzlenberger is the only conference coach to not get technical this year.

Is he really the only one? I know Drew, Sampson & Tang have gotten them & have been ejected. I don't remember the others: maybe 2-3 but not 10! Cincy coach? UCF? TCU? WVU? ISU?

Ironically it was Chance Moore who Td up Tang..

He was one of the Three Blind Mice in Waco against ISU.

The other clown Jeb Hartness worked the Tech game this morning.

I wonder when you lodge a complaint against a crew if the conference keeps those officials away from your games for awhile.
historian
How long do you want to ignore this user?
They probably should do that just to ease tensions but the process of assigning crews to games is probably more complicated. For example, these decisions could have been made weeks in advance without consideration for which teams are playing in each game.

The good news for us is that Drew is the kind of personality to handle it well. If we get those guys again today or tomorrow, I fully expect Drew to handle them with grace, intelligence, humility, & tact. He will probably talk to them pregame to eliminate all the old issues and focus on the game at hand. Not all coaches could do this. Drew can.
