It's a reasonable assumption. But they call it March Madness for a reason. I hope we don't play any Cinderella's this year.

Last year Colgate was a 15 seed and got beat by 2 seed UT by 20

The year before that they were a 14 seed and lost to 3 seed Wiscy by 7

They lost to Cornell 77-64 the game before Cornell opened Foster Pavilion.

I watched that game. It was one of the most pathetic displays of 3-pt shooting I saw all year.

The only thing I know about Colgate is PJ Carlisemo's son plays for them.

I remembered.

To be fair, he was correct about many of our conference mates playing weak non con schedules. It wasn't that long ago that many of us were doing the same. However, that is reflected in the NET rankings: weaker schedules means fewer Quad 1 games & probably fewer Quad 2 as well. And they don't prepare teams for those tougher games leading to a likelihood of losing more.

The irony is that the SEC does that regularly in football and few people say anything about it, at least in the national media. Thankfully, Joel Klatt does call them out. I don't recall anyone ever publicly accusing them of rigging the bowl schedule, though.
