Listened to Kornheiser's podcast, and everyone filling out their bracket has NM in the Sweet 16. Read a Yahoo article picking a Cinderella in each region, and New Mexico was brought up again.

Kind of glad that everyone is jumping on that particular bandwagon since no one actually knows anything.

There are probably a lot of desert- and/or mountain-dwellers who would enjoy a New Mexico-Arizona matchup in the Sweet 16.

That means Clemson will win.

Really hoping for Clemson. New Mexico could be an unusually tough game for a 3 vs 11.

I live in Santa Fe and often watch video of the Lobos on local television sports shows. They are a talented team and are getting good coaching. On a given night, they can give any higher ranked team a problem.

I hope the Bears can avoid them, but it's fun to see the local UNM grads have SOMETHING sports wise to be excited about.

That being said, it's been a fantastic ski season out here. For those who know northern NM, Mora got about a foot and a half of snow Sunday. Ski Santa Fe has a 70" base and could probably stay open until late April, but by then everybody's playing golf. White water rafting on the Rio Grande will be epic this summer.

Last time we played New Mexico..

Dave Bliss vs Fran Frischilla in NIT.

I was at that game at The Pit...Bliss got a pretty good ovation pregame..but Greg Davis who followed Bliss from New Mexico to Baylor was booed every time he touched the ball..I believe he was our leading scorer that night.

New Mexico was probably under seeded a bit, which is why many like the pick

The Pitino last name also attracts people...

I'd much much much rather play NM. Clemson physical style is what we struggle with.
Gimme NM all day assuming we take care of Colgate
