Iowa Bear or others, thoughts on Clemson and how we match up?

PJ Hall is a great player, but IMO, the key to slowing down Clemson is keeping Joe Girard under wraps. He absolutely destroyed New Mexico. Clemson is a veteran team, but they're super inconsistent.

We'll get plenty of open looks, and we're going to have to knock them down at a good clip, because Clemson should be able to score against our middling defense.

No help from me on Clemson. Only thing I know is they have a big PJ Hall who's an absolute load (worried about him drawing tons of fouls on Missi and Josh)Their PG Girard was a 3 year starter and Syracuse and can light it up from deep.
But that's the extent of my knowledge on them.
Bear2, Vanilla, Mitch, Quinton probably have more inside on Clemson

I believe the inconsistency. Looking at their schedule they have some great wins (NC on the road) and some head scratching losses at home.

They have done nothing spectacular basically all season.

Let's hope his shot is dropping early tomorrow too

Unless it's a really bad officiating crew (which is always a possibility) I'm guessing we're going to get a number of attempts from the line - and we're going to need to hit a high percentage of them.

I'm a little worried about this game because we already had a hot shooting game yesterday and we tend to average out. I don't remember us stringing two games in a row where we shot lights out. I'm worried we are due for a bunch of bricks. Plus, Clemson has extra motivation to beat us since they called out the Big 12's manipulation of the NET. Their coach wrote the check, and now the players realize they have to cash it for him. A lot on the line for them. We are going to get their best, plus more, Clemson will not be as small and slow as Colgate on defense, so we won't get as many open, uncontested looks at 3's. They'll be physical, so we'll need Nunn and others to drive and get fouls. It comes down to this one game for me - If we win and go to the sweet 16 then this season was a success and if not it was a disappointment.

I actually think the ball going in the way it did yesterday will be great for tomorrow. Same court, same rims…definitely will be more perimeter defense than what we saw, but everyone was hitting, got to feel good about that. Come in loose, play confident. For Walter that is absolute key, he plays so much better on D when his shot is falling. Shots falling help our zone D set up big time.

Agree with the part about driving and driving fouls. We have 2 players (Nunn and Walter) particularly adept at drawing fouls. We need to attack the rim to start the game which would open up our perimeter game. I also think this would help set a tone from the beginning of the game. Part of what contributes to our slow starts is taking (and missing) too many contested 3s to begin games. Missed threes lead to easy transition buckets the other way.

I hope coach Drew is fired up over the whining about schedule. Our Men's schedule is 20% tougher than Clemson's at least. Look it up for a laugh.
Go get it.
I'm in a pretty small town in Scotland and haven't been able to watch anything until the highlights. Surprised none of my streams work here.

Yep, we need to do it from the start. Clemson for sure will try and take away the 3 pointer and make us beat them inside, where they feel they are bigger and more physical. If we can be successful there, it'll put them on their heels a bit. I'm thinking maybe put in Lohner in there more, because he's the most physical rebounder we got. Offensive rebounds will limit the transition buckets. I'm worried how easy it will be for them to score inside. It didn't look too tough for Colgate. Yes, the physical tone needs to be set from the beginning.
