Assuming SDSU does not have a colossal meltdown from an almost 30 point lead....Baylor is the only favored team that lost this weekend.

That's 16 games....and we were the one outlier. Damn it.

In fairness I'm not really sure why we were favored. Other than being the higher seed.

Spoiled and overreacting, someone posted a list on a different thread about all of the March legends who have struggled in the tournament over time

It's a privilege to be in March so thank you Scott and the Foster boys for another great season filled with awesome memories

That's what some of the whiners seem to be saying, at least about Drew. Yes, I'm exaggerating but some people need to chill.

The Lady Bears just won a huge victory in a hostile road environment, something they have done multiple times this season. They are going to the Sweet 16. We need to support them 100%. Let's see how far they can go!

Unfortunately, this was pretty predictable. There were a lot of signs that this Baylor team was better on paper than it was on the court.

Pretty sure they were heavily involved with much of what's gone on in the decimated baylor sports programs that's why we pray they stay away from Scott Drew

They likely have a free throw voodoo doll too

So...what went wrong? I'd say it was a perfect storm that sealed our fate.

Langston injury
Missi injury
Bridges injury?

Woeful shooting from the perimeter, sloppy and ineffective in getting to the hoop and finishing through the first 34 minutes.

Mediocre D (a constant in 2024)

And finally...

Dreadful and untimely foul shooting.

As frustrating of a tourney loss as we've ever seen (with exception of Ga State). I know it's wishful thinking to simply get a team to March healthy but damn...we seem overdue for this!

What went wrong was a Langston Love injury middle of the season. The team that lost on Saturday was the same team we've had for months now. Nothing really changed, these guys just weren't that good.
