He'd probably have to wait a few years, as Brooks is the next in line for lead assistant, but it would likely be his best bet to get back in the high major coaching game in the near future.

Best thing I can say about the @FAUMBB hire is that if you could combine @BaylorMBB Scott Drew & @ZagMBB Mark Few you would get John Jakus.

We can trade Ok St straight up. Our assistant moves up and we get a fresh perspective.

Boynton isn't exactly a grizzled vet but would be a huge improvement on defense with no recruiting drop off.

You pointed out the issue though. Would need to take a hc job as Drew probably won't undermine the staff by bringing someone in. It needs to be fixed though.

The fact is the defensive staff is struggling badly. They need help. Jakus was the offensive side. It wasnt just personnel either. They weren't great but the defensive fundamentals displayed were really bad all year.

That is a good question. Did Driscoll, Tang, Mills or McCasland take from the staff? I don't remember.
