Then the school needs to help and not schedule 8pm week day games. Impossible to travel from Dallas or Houston
1. School doesn't determine tip times
2. No it's not. Plenty of us do it every time we play in that time slot

It's impossible for some people given their work & family commitments and yes, both are more important than sporting events.

Vote for high speed rail
high speed rail will never work. Even if it is built between Dallas and Waco the station in Waco would likely be in McGregor and then there is the issue of getting to the stadium.

And that would only help those in the Dallas area as anyone west (Arlington, Fort Worth, etc.) would drive just as long to get to the Dallas station as getting to Waco.

Because it wouldn't go Dallas, Ft. Worth, Waco and if it did the travel time would end up being about the same as driving.

If High speed rail ever comes to TX it would only be between Dallas-Houston, Houston-SA and SA-Dallas and very few if any stops in between.

If Texas were to build a high speed rail network on the European model, the Station would be somewhere in downtown Waco, possibly within walking distance of Foster.

However, Texas will almost certainly not do that because we Texans don't want our taxes raised that much for what is essentially a boondoggle. The construction costs are always prohibitive as are maintenance costs. Also, there would never be enough demand for it to pay for itself and the ticket prices would have to be heavily subsidized. This would greatly add to the annual costs.

Just look at California's insanely wasteful railroad from and to nowhere: hundreds of billions of dollars already spent, only partly constructed, way over budget, way behind schedule, & no one uses it. Typical government operation! LOL

Yeah, and the idea the schedule would line up with a Baylor basketball game is also pretty unlikely even if the train did go straight to downtown.

Anyway, it would be nice to have another way to get around Texas.

In theory, that wouldn't be much of an issue because the resins would travel regularly, perhaps with a stop in Waco every 1-2 hours. Those managing this hypothetical system could add additional trains gif peak demand. But it won't be built because of the costs. See above.

There will be a need to expand roadways to accommodate increased travel anyway. Expanding and maintaining roads and airports also requires taxes, $$ etc. If you really want MORE of I35 construction that's great. I would love to have a choice.

Besides the fact that the cost of other methods of transportation will continue to rise and take up more and more space, rail travel between many cities in this world is profitable between places with smaller populations and positioned less favorably than Dallas and Houston. They are perfect for rail travel with a big time and/or value savings over both air and road.
