Does this fill up all of our scholarships for the 2024-2025 season (assuming he's not a walk-on)?

Anybody remember Jim Carey in that skit for the WNBA video game?

Great story if he comes on and contributes. Maybe they will have something to talk about besides being the best rebuild.

I believe Marino Dubravcic is expected to be the "other big".

Not always, but there is a likely chance a 22-23 year old man with his size, ability and experience will outplay an 18 year old 4 star freshman who will transfer year 2 because he wants more playing time.

I don't like the easy transfer portal these days but that is the game now. Got to mix old guys into the team.

Sounds like a good player to have on the court late to close out a win at the free throw line.

If we are relying on him to win games for us in crunch time then our team's in big trouble

He'll play about as many minutes as Sacks did last year and Loveday and Turner the year before. If he plays more than that, then we are either winning another Natty because we're beating everyone by 50 points or things have gone really wrong and more than half the team quit.

……..or (God forbid) we get seriously decimated because of injuries.

He played non-scholarship D3 basketball, which is roughly equivalent to Texas 5A High School ball. He's not gonna be better than expected for a Top 10 program in the best conference in college basketball. The kid wants an advanced degree and given our injury history over the past few years Drew probably wants to make sure he has enough to scrimmage in mid-February.

Maybe he's a developmental project and Drew hopes he becomes the next Freddie Gillespie. I don't really know, I'm only speculating. I can hope for the best. Also, we know Drew knows how to develop talent and use transfers effectively.

He is a practice player so they can have 10 if they encounter a couple of injuries.
