Those are Greek to me. He has us projected at 17-11? Is that right? That would be our worst record in almost 20 years with arguably our most talented roster.

Let me know when these make sense. The talent rank on these just is so far from reality unless someone can explain that it actually means something else.

Baylor at 14 nationally is a joke. This is potentially the best roster we've had in a long time. We aint finishing 4th in the big 12

Preseason rankings still don't matter much. Each one is just someone guessing using a particular set of metrics. I have no more than a passing interest. At least it's something to pass the time until games start.

Not only that, but he has us going 5-4 in the non-con. He basically said we're only winning one of the big five games we are playing (Gonzaga, Arkansas, UConn, St. John's, Tenn/Va). I can see us losing to the Zags since it's the first game, and they are a returning team, and maybe UConn since it's a true road game, but come on. 1-4?

In recent years we have done very well in our non conference games with wins over Oregon, Arizona State, Michigan State, Villanova, Gonzaga, UCLA, Arkansas, Florida, etc. I don't recall when we've had more than 2 losses in November & December.

There is no reason to expect this year will be worse.

Let them put us wherever they want. This is one of the top 4 teams in the country.

Big, I saw your previous comment. I understand the metrics and how they work for the most part. But do you understand that "talent" value? Doesn't make any sense to me. Ku and Bu are significantly more talented than Houston. Iowa St/Az/Houston are all fairly close in "Talent." Now if they aren't raw talent ratings but attributes coaching/system etc.. I understand.

Either way, if Love can get and stay healthy.. I agree with top 4. One more big or a huge leap from one of the existing bigs and I think they are a title favorite and probably at least tie with Ku for the conference title. Think the bigs/defensive presence at the rim are the only "holes."

No, I was told that wasn't exactly what that is so that's why I pulled my original statement but I've searched everywhere to understand them and it sure seems it actually is what they are. I know preseason stuff is meaningless but I don't see how there is any way you can look at this roster and say it's not at least a Top 10 at the worst. Now that doesn't guarantee we'll end up there because all kinds of things can happen during the season but this roster has the talent to go head to head with KU and Iowa St and you can throw in Houston and Arizona. We may lose one or two but we will win just as many. And anyone who can stand up through that can also win the national title. I don't disagree with your comments about the bigs. I'm expecting to see a big step up from Josh when the balls roll out in November and I'm hoping Norchad ends up as advertised.

Josh should improve and Norchad's skill set is proven. VJ played as well as NBA players on his Bahama's team. Roach is also a proven player.

Enjoy the season because it could turn out special.
