Reminded me of Olajuwon as a freshman last year…Starting off like Olajuwon as a second year player this year. Though sadly as an NBA Rookie and not a Baylor sophomore.

He is freakishly athletic for someone of his size. He's got a good motor and is very fun to watch. His ceiling is very high. The Pelicans got a good one for sure.

Plus he has all the intangibles. Extremely intelligent and hard-working with high basketball IQ, especially for someone with very little basketball experience.

We knew as soon as he was recruited he would be with Baylor for only one season. And yes, I get the pun.

If anyone was not going to leave for the NBA last year, Missi was it for me.
So happy for this young man!!

He had a good second game too, although he was a - on the court. 8 points and 3 blocks.

I've been able to watch some Pelican games, and from what I've seen, Missi belongs out there on the floor, not a project. He is holding his own among the veterans and shows flashes of greatness (much like while at BU). He is really turning a lot of heads.

Drew needs to add this play to the mix this Fall. Nasty. Again, HIGH IQ to recognize the 1-1 scenario, ability to start from top of the key/free throw line, limited defensive options for a double team and a smaller opponent.

He really is developing well - so much so from when Baylor's season concluded earlier this year. I am not a fan of Zion so maybe Missi works out well in New Orleans or he goes someplace else..

He started tonight and Theis, who had been starting, came off the bench.

Missi is off to a great start. Already the starter and a firm contributor. Way under-drafted.

I said last year I thought Missi had the best chance of any recruit we've had to develop into an impact player in the NBA. I have to admit, though, that I thought it would take longer than it has for him to carve out a role.

That dude is special. Mature beyond his years and extremely physically gifted.

17 and 10 last night on 7-8 shooting. 1 block, 1 steal.

The second half of last season he showed promise, this rapid rise is surprising.

He was supposed to be a project, already beasting. Kid has hunger and is a sponge.

He was supposed to be a project at Baylor, too, and was one of our two best/most valuable players by the semester break.

The kid is just an extremely fast learner. He wants to be great and likely will be.

My fantasy league has Missi waiting a year and playing next to Norchad.

The stats aren't telling the true story. New Orleans 2 starting guards are hurt and he's playing with 2 guards who would start on no other team in the NBA minus injuries. He's not getting any elite passes. And he can switch and guard 1-5, which also doesn't show up in the box score.
