Wow …if only it were a dunk contest. I could care less if he dunks again this season. Average 8/8/3 in 24 minutes per game and that's worth something.

it was an impressive dunk but it was against a walk-on at the end of a blowout loss.

Based on that one game, if you didn't know better you'd probably guess that Wright is our sure fire one and done freshman and you'd wonder why Edgecombe is even a starter.

I mentioned the same thing in the game thread. This may be our second year in a row and third time in four years where our lesser heralded freshman was the better player of the two.

I hope that dunk get's Edgecomb going. I think he was thinking the entire game would be like that.

I have now watched two 5 stars play complete seasons, and one game with Edgecomb. That type of talent doesn't seem to fit well in Drew's system. Seems Drew tries to make these types of players fit his mold instead of building a system designed to let those guys elevate. Just my opinion, I just never thought Key or Walters or Edgecomb fit into a system designed around the weave. Drew's system has gotten us to where we are, and I am thankful. However, the game time talent seems to have outgrown this system. Give them spacing and cuts and screens and dunks and offenses designed to allow for improvisation to some degree. Self does an extremely good job at this. The Weave just doesn't seem to maximize this kind of talent. Rebounding and run outs would help. This will be my last attempt at coaching. Flame away.
