Is Love a "game time decision" again (which means there is a 99% chance he shows up in street clothes)?

Was really hoping we'd finally see LL but I'm starting to think we aren't seeing him until January.
Nice start by the Bears. Hopefully we can get the young bigs some PT tonight

I think I've seen some zone and some man

Camera angle looking sharp!

Edgecombe looks good early. Omier is a beast. I really like that we're not running the weave offense with 3 guards as heavily as we did last season.

Very entertaining so far

Good ball movement and energy

We're going to win this game going away, but our defensive intensity is nonexistent. They're getting one good look after another. They just can't hit them.

The cross court pass across the zone was a good adjustment by them. Led to 2 wide open 3s

I've spoken a lot about the downside of our recruiting strategy, but games like this highlight the upside.

Because of the overwhelming athleticism we have year in and year out, we're almost immune to the headline-grabbing upset.

As long as we keep drawing No. 3 or 4 seeds, I never worry about us losing in the first round. We just overwhelm the types of teams we face in those spots.

If you don't have above-average high-major talent/athleticism, you're going to struggle to stay on the court with us.

He's tall, but he plays a guard's game on both ends.

I don't think matters. Our issue is intensity. We don't seem to have any concept of how hard you have to play on the defensive end to be good there. And it's been that way for three straight years now.

We look completely disinterested on the defensive end.

I agree on switching to man. They are too good of a shooting team to play zone.

I'm confounded by the fact that we knew that SHSU is a good 3-point shooting team going in, we know that's what they want to do, and we know they can get hot, and yet we are continually losing shooters in the perimeter.

We're going to be really good offensively this season. But we've got to do something about this defense.

Watching us compared to elite defensive teams is night and day. They play with an intensity from start to finish that we achieve for maybe a handful of possessions a game.

Rob Wright is a stud. Dude is really, really polished for a freshman.

The defensive intensity has looked better since the Under 4 timeout. I wonder if there was some butt chewing that occurred.

Rob Wright is incredibly smooth. And not just for a freshman. He's a stud.

We have an extremely efficient offense when Wright is at the 1 creating, Roach is at his natural 2 roaming the corners, Edgecombe at the 3, Omier at the 4 and Josh at the 5.

I got nothing for ya on D. That looks like the same old crap I've seen for the 3rd consecutive year. You can rotate like that against an undermanned team and still win. Do that against UConn, St. Johns, or any Big 12 school and the probability of you getting burned is pretty high.

Nice finish for Wright

(Not playing like a true freshman)

Other than the fouls, I liked VJ's first half. Only took 3s that were wide open and focused on getting to the rim. Granted Sam Houston State isn't super athletic, and Edgecombe is going to feast on teams like this. But I like the approach.

Whether we play zone or man it's frustrating how easy it is for opponents to routinely get wide open 3 point looks against us.

Am I the only one who has to mute the ESPN + broadcast during commercials? They have spliced them wrong and repeat the same clips 6 times a break.
