He's a good shooter. I said last year, I think his best role is as a spot up shooter who can drive when defenses overcommit on the close out.

It's usually not easy to spot Drew's 7-8 man roster this early in the year but it's already here. The 5 starters, Celestine and Wright are the 7. Love when and if he ever plays is in that rotation. Unfortunately Asemota is just not ready as Drew has already decided to go shorter when Josh or Norchad get in foul trouble instead of inserting Asemota.

Our offense hasn't helped our defense the last few minutes. Can't give up runouts and transition buckets.

Asemota looked overmatched in his limited minutes against Arkansas.

Just caught up. The defensive contests are really bad as usual. The defense has been a mess overall. When the guys do play hard on the perimeter they over pursue for no reason leaving a ton of space for wide open looks.

Footwork is poor with guys constantly crossing their feet . Edgecombe does look slightly improved. Potential to be a good defender but no faith in the defensive coaching.

And like all last year the corner three is wide open with one extra pass.

This is the game I want to see from VJ every night. I want 85 percent of his attempts and points to come within two feet of the basket. He's a good enough athlete to get those opportunities with regularity.

That was pitiful defense by Roach. Just completely vacated the driving lane. I don't like seeing business decisions from a defense with questionable chops to begin with.

Dubravcic is definitely a project. We need size, so I'm hopeful he's a quick study. We might need some emergency minutes at some point this year.

Watching us compared to elite defensive teams is night and day. They play with an intensity from start to finish that we achieve for maybe a handful of possessions a game.

True freshman right? He's green but you can't teach size

I hope not but expect we will need him at different times for foul trouble.

Wright is short but not little. He's got the running back build like Davion had. So compact and strong, can play through contact.
