We've seen it in football, i think we're seeing it in basketball now. there are just not very many dominant teams. Whether it be nil or transfer portal, it is much more apparent this year then it has been

There has been lots of parity in basketball for years. What's new is seeing it in football. Hopefully it will last & the whole idea of P2 will fade away is ridiculous arrogance. I don't really expect my wish to come into fruition but it's what is best for the sport.

i know there's been parity, but there's still an upper group. this year i'm not so sure

Good point. But are the losses by do many top teams an indication that there is more parity or that the preseason rankings are suspect? I think it's a little of both.

I think Men's basketball has always had wayyy more parity. Look at national champions for the last 20 years, multiple different teams and conferences represented

The parity in football will not last. At least not to the level we are currently seeing. If the Indianas and Iowa States of the world think they are going to outspend Oregon (Nike) or any SEC team in the long run...they are sadly mistaken.

I think it was Utah football where every player got a brand new truck. You think whoever paid for that likes that return on their investment?! SMU might be the only one willing and able to match spending.

For March Madness, no conference should be guaranteed any number of bids. There are 68 slots & everyone should be based upon the record on the courts.

The SEC should be punished for trying to rig it!

Well…we are not on the list. We will end up playing two of the teams on the list though.

We've already beaten one of them. I hop Arkansas remains ranked.

UConn deserves its own category and I hope we can help cement that status.

Creighton also very shocking! Arkansas isn't that big of a shock given their changes.

This are the worst stats. So much for Big 12 dominance.

He isn't saying the SEC is trying to rig it, he is saying that he believes 10 SEC teams are good enough to make the field

It's ridiculous to say something like that now. The season just began a few weeks ago and there are lots of games remaining. No one knows how many teams will get in. It's very unlikely the any conference will get 10 teams in.

I think much like the old system, the spending will stay the same with the Old Guard and we will see different spending levels every few years with all the wannabes so basically nothing changes very much.

A conference doesn't win a national championship but there is no disputing the SEC has looked head and shoulders above the ACC, Big 12, B1G and Big East from a quality of depth perspective so far.

At this point, no one would be surprised if the SEC puts several more teams into the NCAA tournament than any other conference. If that's occurs, the Big 12 will need a strong showing in that tournament in order to prove itself.
