Unfortunately, that's true. And it seems unlikely that we will beat any of the top teams with such a thin bench. But I can hope. If we were to attribute most of the problems yesterday to the altitude then we have more room for optimism. Yet, the problems yesterday are the same ones we've seen in all the big games. They were more pronounced, though. I'm not expecting Love to be back enough to matter much. Maybe Roach will return Saturday and for the rest of the season. I suspect that is what Drew was planning all along: keep him healthy as long as possible and don't make any unnecessary risks.
The last time we lost to Kansas in Waco was 2020 and we came very close. If Jared Bugler had made that buzzer beater it would have been epic. Despite the loss, it was a great game.
