I'm not certain the lottery was rigged or how, but all of these journalists coming out with tweets about how it couldn't be rigged because they watched it are hilarious.

Magicians literally do tricks right in front of their marks' eyes without being detected. It's not that hard to fool people who are expecting to be fooled. How hard would it actually be to fool people who aren't expecting it?

Either way, the NBA is either the most lucky/unlucky league in the history of the planet or completely corrupt. There's no other explanation for that league's draft lottery history.

Given the ridiculously remote odds of having the results they've gotten the last 40 years, you couldn't do a better job of raising suspicion of you were trying to.

Relax. While I sort of believe it most of my post is only 1/2 tongue-in-cheek.

I will continue to posit it seems less likely the Mavericks make the worst trade in sports history and win the lottery with miniscule odds to draft another once-in-a-lifetime player. The NBA gets the world's biggest star and NBA's best player to LA, and Dallas gets a compensatory pick that could work out better in the long-run.

There is literally no rational reason one can explain the Luka trade. Evan black Al Bundy is not that stupid.
