VJ is by far the best freshman we've had. That kid is special.

His improvement both shooting and finishing at the rim is remarkable. He's become a polished scorer in a short period of time.

Agree with all this. Keyonte and Ja'Kobe were both really good kids, but neither of them seemed as bought in on the program as VJ is. He commits to defense, sacrifices his body, and rarely looks for his own shot outside the flow of the offense.

It's a shame we only get one year of him, because I love watching him play.
