Man...that lob pass across the court from VJ to Celestine made me nervous
No, he was just terrible today. Every time we appeared poised to pull away, he missed an open shot to start a WVU run.Bearsalwayswin said:

He's usually mediocre. He was legitimately terrible today.IowaBear said:

Outfought? The opposing team has automatic rebounding position on a free throw. It was a credit to him and his rebounding ability that he even had a shot at that.Self Made Bear said:
Omier outfought again.

The St. John's and Kansas wins are our saving grace. And both required near miracle comebacks.IowaBear said:
In fairness to Roach that St Johns heave is the only reason this teams currently on the right side of the bubble
That and a clock operator who gave us a few extra seconds for Roach to get downcourt.IowaBear said:

I was gonna say the same thing. We're a streaky shooting team from 3. We were off today, so hopefully that means we will be on fire Monday night.boognish_bear said:
Ugly win is a win.
Let's see some magic on Monday night. We are due to bounce back on our 3s.
They just expended a lot of energy in a tough home loss to Houston, too. I would bet that's about a wash.Johnny Bear said:
Bottom line - taking care of biz home win. Wish we wouldn't have had to waste the extra energy in OT with Arizona in 2 days.
If I was to guess, this is part of the rumored disjointment on the team. Roach just hasn't fit the system at all and doesn't look engaged as a role player (which is where he can play his best basketball). Regressed from a solid player at Duke to a guy who can't do anything here unfortunately. Could have scooped up Small and Roberts for the price of Roach.Bearsalwayswin said:

AZ can be had. They are still the same sloppy, lackidasical AZ team they've always been, the big 12 has just allowed them to get away with it bc they have decent talent. They can't maintain intensity for a full game, unfortunately neither can we. Wouldn't be shocked at either outcome, but Bu can win it.Greenboy232 said:
Big win. Need to just string together wins now. Beating AZ Monday coming off an emotional home-loss to UH would be ginormous.
