Haha.. not with our depth..3 games in 3 days? 4 in 4 days?

Better chance if we get in of advancing to second weekend than winning conference tournament.

All depends on our bullpen showing up

I know, but that's just the way baseball go. This will be the year we finally win the XII tourney ... we have never won it right? Seems like we never have ... lost a couple of championship games.

We've not only never won the men's B12 bball Tourney, we've never won a bball conference tourney on the men's side, period.

There's always a first time for everything. I would be very happy for championship victory in KC. It would guarantee our Tourney bid and probably give us a better seed. I don't expect a deep run this year (really hope I'm wrong), but it would be great if we could at least get up the second weekend. It's been too long.

A 10 or 7 is preferable, an 8/9 is an awful seed draw

Didn't we also lose to SMU in the SWC Tournament final? I believe Michael Williams was still named MVP. Williams always played hard as hell.

Here's hoping! Baseball's unpredictable, but it's our year for sure!

I was there too.Coach Bliss(then at SMU) had one of Micheal's taller high school teammates guard him who did a good job defending him.Do you remember his name?

We've reached the B12 men's bball tournament championship round 3 times, losing to Mizzou twice and ISU once. As previously mentioned we reached the old SWC championship round twice, losing to the aggys and SMU. The year we lost to the aggys, as I recall we were a 2 seed and they were a 7 seed - out of 8 total seeds.

Kato was awesome, but Carlton Mckinney was Player of the Year. Bears had Middleton doing his thing too. Fun conference that year.

A bit of trivia based upon my ancient recollection-One of the SWC finals game losses with SMU was played on Selection Sunday and it wasn't over yet when the committee checked on the game.We were ahead at the time of checking and I think that helped our seed.Unfortunately Memphis State beat us in our first NCAA game in over 30 years. We didn't go dancing again until Drew turned around the program many years later. After one of the other 2 finals losses we thought we might make the NCAA TOURNAMENT.One reason,we had defeated a good Houston team in the SWC tournament and beaten them twice during the regular season.Houston got an NCAA bid and we didn't.Ouch.

Sounds crazy to think about now, but that's exactly what happened - BU got selected to the NCAA's DURING the game. Might have let our guard down after that, but either way, SMU came back to win.

The year prior, A&M had a terrible regular season, but caught lightning in a bottle and breezed through the conference tourney, knocking off the Bears in the Final, despite BU having had their number during the season.

Bears also beat NCAA-bound UH, three times, as you mentioned. TCU won the regular season with none other than Jamie Dixon leading the way.
