How long do you want to ignore this user?

I think all of us are thinking that!

Sounds like we're at least forcing him to hit tough shots. That's about all you ask for. He's gonna miss some of those at some point

Nunn with good energy today.

Nunn playing good defense so far. Gotta hit our FTs. Miss State in serious foul trouble.

We seem more focused on driving and getting shots in the paint than usual

They've been able to isolate him on Omier a few times. You'd love to not have that happen, but that's what happens sometimes with the defense we play.

Yeah hard pass on seeing that a ton. He's a streaky shooter. So hopefully if/when he goes cold that holds the rest of the game. They struggle big time when he's not on his game

Half of these would never be called in conference.. which is probably a good thing. Much cleaner game.

As much as Celestine has been knocked on, I've noticed a jump in his toughness over the last few weeks.

If we can get to the half without Omier picking up his second foul, that would be massive [knocks on any and all wood around his house]

Love misses a wiiiiiiide open 3, then loses his defensive assignment which leads to an open 3, then turns it over, leading to a runout alleyoop. Not a good stretch for Langston.

Hubbard on the game thread appears to be absolutely dominating this game. If we don't get VJ going I don't like our chances

Bad sequence that started with Love missing a completely wide open three-point look.

If we make our wide open 3's then we are up by 10 or 12. Just got to start shooting better....

Have you watched any games this year? This is exactly who this team is… they're an absolutely brutal shooting team.

It's especially frustrating when we're playing a team that's not supposed to be a good three-point shooting team and they're hitting threes with hands in their faces

Wright and VJ need to attack the paint relentlessly. Gotta get VJ an easy one to get going

He did just that, and draws 2 FTs

It is an improvement, that when we attack the basket, it results in something that sometimes, doesn't seem like an accident. Omier really pulls this team together. Without him we just create motion with no plan to leverage it into a good shot attempt.

Good!! See the ball go through the net. Get him going prior to the half and build on it in the 2nd half!

True, but they are really wide open. Mississippi State looks like they are playing Baylor's typical defensive philosophy on 3s right now.

We are playing well just need shots to fall and we would put some distance between us and the bulldogs.

Roach playing too much iso ball there. We're playing very hard, though. Gotta tip your cap to that.

Gotta get separation with Hubbard out.

I spent some time on the Bulldog board earlier this week to see what they were saying. Seems like every time they lose, they allow the other team to shoot wide open 3s. We're getting the shots, just need to can them.

Refs miss a clear out of bounds on Miss State and we lose the possession arrow as a result.

Wright shifty to the rim for 2!

Edge almost nails the half courter at the buzzer!

That was the best Baylor almost buzzer beater I've seen in a long time!

VJ took my advice after the Tech almost game winner..stop and pop ..

Omier so tired he couldn't talk during halftime interview.

Solid half. Play with the same intensity, get in front of Hubbard and disrupt him, and hit our wide open 3s, and survive and advance.
Quinton
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Wright playing ball. Great pace, unique player hard to deal with in tournament style play.
Porteroso

Would be smart to try to attack the paint with anyone guarded by Hubbard. His second foul was real bad, just totally dumb. Get him into foul trouble, but Drew seems to rarely incorporate that into his game plan.

Without Hubbard, MS State is really not that good, on either end.

Solid half.

Areas to improve:
3s are not falling and we're giving up offensive boards

Keep it up:
Grabbing offensive boards, active hands, getting into the paint, Omier not in foul trouble, drawing fouls

Celestine has made some good plays today that don't involve hitting a 3. Good steal and some offensive boards

Agree...im noticing him being more physical on defense which we desperately need

I'd love to think this game could mirror our win vs. Syracuse in the 8/9 game in 2019 and that it was the beginning of building something really special.

As incredibly disappointing and frustrating as this season has been, winning today would give us 6 seasons in a row with an NCAA tournament win. That counts for something. We went nearly 60 years with only 1 appearance.

The basketball universe owes us about 10 of these
