With Robert Wright back next year, we probably shouldn't be talking to any 6-1 guards.

Odum is a solid player, but our defense would almost certainly suffer with two small guards on the court at the same time.

Hopefully not a sign on Wright's future. If he's out, I'll probably leave this board to it and drop college ball.

No. Drew has said in several interviews that he wants to have 2 solid PGs at all times, which is smart. Back to his concept of not really having 5 starters. Carr is not a PG.

I think this one came as a surprise. Maybe Iowa can shed some light.

Not sure about this one B12! He was incredibly solid in his role. Little surprised he's transferring. Perhaps looking for a bigger role in his last season

Two would be perfect, if they can convince another guy to take that role

Miro is back in the portal again.

I kinda suspect he's also hedging, just in case Wright jumps in the portal if we can't afford what he wants.

He's a 6-3 freshman who averaged 15.5 ppg, 2.4 assists, shoots 81% from the FT line and 38% from 3.

I mentioned him in another thread. Kid is a certified dawg. Has that edge/swagger BU needs

From the world of WTH comes news tonight from UteNation.com that Miro Little was the highest paid NIL player for Utah last year. That means their highest NIL dollars went to a guy who played a whopping 7 minutes a game for us before going into the portal.

Some clips of him. Looks like he would be a great anchor on the backend of the D.

I've seen several SDSU fans on social media say Baylor, SMU, Tech, TCU and Michigan were involved but I haven't seen any true media site or transfer portal info site say that yet. The fans could just be speculating on the Texas schools because of the Euless Trinity background.

Our other freshman just bounced. Whether it was a talent miss or culture mismatch, don't know. But the program is completely whiffing on retaining any young players.

Going to need a super team of transfers. A ton of top level guys to turn this around or it's game over

Asemota transferring doesn't surprise me at all. But holy hell are we going to need a transfer haul

Looking at that graphic of the mixed bag rosters of many of the sweet 16 teamsโ€ฆmaybe it doesn't even matter in this era to retain many kids.

Not at all, neither does Love. But at some point you have to hit on and retain guys.

Especially when in conference teams are keeping guys they developed that honestly have a whole lot less roster space than Bu. Something is badly off.

Have to bat 1000 on elite level transfers or it could get ugly

This is roster starting to look like Calipari when he took over Akransas. Completely empty.

A lot of those kids are multi year guys though. Broome transferred to Auburn from Morehead St 3 years ago as an example.

This is the model we need and how we won a natty. I'm not convinced Drew will do it.

Actually I wonder if this means someone's already taking his spot (Koa Peat or a high end transfer)?

Asemota is unlikely to find a better situation.

But is he likely to find more Money.

Some of these transfers are not just playtime. Just because you're on Baylor's roster does not mean you'll make a bunch of money, or what you made the previous year. If the discussion goes what am I earning next year, and the answer is not much (which is likely what's happening with Asemota and Love), sure you can stay but you're more likely to go elsewhere that will pay you to go.
Big12Fan2024

Peat's not coming here.

Asemota was never a good fit for him or us. This was always a head scratcher. He wanted a spot where he can hang out and shoot 3's. He hates physical basketball. Just ask him. Unfortunately he's not accurate enough to be a 3 point shooter and can't handle the ball well enough to play on the perimeter. He's basically a guy without a position with our offense. He's not a bad player. He'll fit in somewhere else. He's just not right for what we needed, which is why it was a head scratcher that we were after him.

There were multiple reports last summer he was starting to waffle and wanted to stay in Arizona and go to Arizona St. instead. That alone tells you he wasn't an ideal candidate for what many of you have called for: a player who can be developed. If you are antsy instead of excited about the school you signed with even before you get there, then the likelihood of you staying 3 or 4 years in the transfer portal era is basically nil. And when it became evident he couldn't even get on the court for a team desperate for bodies, the relationship was sealed for both sides.

Baylor has been mentioned as one of the schools contacting him. School media guide lists him at 6'8" and plays both guard and forward. You can see below, they say he is 6' 6".
