As schedule is set (https://ticket.rhineruhr2025.com/section/basketball-pd84) and we're less than a month out, can anyone share any details of Bear Foundation sponsored trip?

I'm military stationed a couple hours south & plan to catch the games. My boys & I would also love to stay at/near the Baylor hotel given the late games times.

Any info is appreciated! Thanks!

They arrive in Dusseldorf on 7/18 in the early afternoon and depart for DFW 7/27.

I think Ashley and one or two other 365 staff are going. Hopefully they can chime in here with hotel info and other festivities.

I've had the chance to see BU Hoops outside the mainland and it really is a unique, wonderful experience. Glad you get to go.

My name is Milton Hixson. My adult daughter and I are going as a part of the land only (booked our own flights) Baylor trip. The hotel where the group and team are staying is the Hotel K059 in Duesseldorf. I'm not sure this list of games is correct but it was posted earlier in the year by a person that should know what is happening. I'm trying to get more information on the games, but this is all I have now.

The international players on our team were not eligible to play for Baylor due to international rules. One member of our team will play for Germany the other three will remain in the states .. attend classes .. and workout with the conditioning staff.

You can stream the games free on FISU.TV. The next game is at 10:30 am tomorrow vs Latvia. The game feed today had a good picture quality but started late … had no announcers calling game .. and only displayed the score a couple times during each half. Also the crowd audio was out of sequence with the video so you would her the crowd/officials react be for you saw the actual action .. about a 2 to 3 second delay.

If you're not a US citizen you can't represent Team USA..so that's why 3 of our guys are missing.

Also we have a center from Yale playing with us.

I was wondering who the Aletan dude is. He ended up with 10 rebounds against India and based one exhibition game against a weak opponent, he looked like a player.

He's a Lake Highlands HS kid. I know he was recruited pretty heavily by TCU, Aggie and Texas and I assume we must have had some level of interest so Drew and staff already knew about him. I remember an article from the little Lake Highlands rag they give away in the neighborhood talking about him going to Yale over big programs because he promised his dad before he died that he would choose the most academic school offered since his dad was a college prof.

Not sure what we would have done without him or someone like him. Basically, Bodo Bodo and Soyoye can't play and Rataj is playing for his country. I guess Skillings or Igoudala would have been forced to play center or we play really small ball if Powell got in foul trouble or needed a breather.

I heard Williams is a serious athlete. With skill development and a shot could be a nice high D1 guy. Skillings and Carr seem ultra efficient players.

Roster makeup (minus nobody close to Walter) feels like a very poor man's Florida. Ton of size and versatility everywhere outside of pg

Quick look at the box score: Dan Skillings went 8 for 8 from the field in under 8 minutes of playing time.

Expect a whole different story against Latvia without our bigs.

Skillings has high motor and is scoring well for us.

Skillings and Carr are really active and have good athleticism. Include Tounde, and wing will be tough.

But man Skillings is a little wild and still can't reliably shoot the ball. Stroke looks good but just doesn't fall.

USA wins 84-77

Good game

They got it to 4 in 4th but then we pulled away. They figured out the zone and made good cuts and passes

Carr emerged in second half with skillings taking a backseat. We hit some big 3s down the stretch

I agree our forward play is going to be good.

You could SD designing plays on the fly in the timeouts. The team hasn't played much together

Would like to see some line ups with Carr at point. Missing a guy outside of White with pg instincts.

Carr has shown nice flashes of playmaking. That kind of size would give college teams trouble.

Glad at least most of the team is getting this kind of summer game experience. Hopefully this will accelerate the process of learning how to play together as a team and increase the chance to hit the ground running when the season starts.

A lot more spontaneous scoring from fast breaks and broken plays. We got some good calls being aggressive at the rim.

Rom seems to be a little more turnover prone than lithuainia. We are running switching man d and its going pretty well.

Carr missed 2 highlight dunks or lead would be bigger.

Agbim is having a great game.

I think the guys are getting great experience here.
