Okay, this is a nit-picky post bu I have to get this out.

All these projections predict the "last 4 in" and "first 4 out". Wouldn't the more appropriate phrase be the "LAST 4 out"? If you think about it, there are a lot of teams that will get no consideration for inclusion in the tournament. Those would be the first ones out, or eliminated from consideration.

What say you, Baylor fans never short on opinions?

Yep. Crown has supplanted the NIT as the "best of the rest." Name teams from big conferences. The field is down from 16 to 8 this year, with all games being in Vegas.

I'm not surprised in the direction this thread has gone but it's not what I was intending.

We all know that without a miracle run to close the season and conference tournament we are not making the big dance.

I was hoping for some fun and interesting discussion on the language used as described in the OP.

Seems to me post season doesn't matter. Carr and Yessefou won't play. Wait until teams get an NCAA berth and star players sit. It may happen this year.

Baylor won't even make NIT let alone be at Big Dance this year. Fyuck anyone else.

Fyi.. Baylor is net ranking at #51 with a 14-14 record (Arlington Baptist massacre doesn't count).

The team behind them at #52.. undefeated 26-0 Miami Ohio.

How delicious if we win 4 straight and they drop one.. the discussion between us two for the last spot.

The fact that we're still on this list at all is wild. We're being propped up (to the modest extent that we are) by an elite Big 12 this season because we don't have a single signature win and only have three or four wins you'd even consider particularly good.

We aren't "next 8" for that tournament. Based on what I'm seeing, we would get an NIT offer and be enough to compete based on how we've been playing lately.
