Really? I don't think so at all. Now, Towns is definitely tricky from an offensive/shooting/spacing standpoint, but I think Wemby is a terrible matchup for Towns on the defensive end. Too athletic and long - will blow by KAT or get him in foul trouble easily. However, I could see Mitchell Robinson giving Wemby some trouble (if anyone can really give Wemby trouble) on the defensive side in the way that Hartenstein did in game 2. Overall, a tough matchup for the Spurs, should be a great series, but I don't think Towns will be the x factor.

Can the Spurs guards limit Brunson enough? If the answer to that is yes, then can the Knicks supporting cast, who are all tough on the glass and good shooters (other than maybe OG and Robinson), do enough to make up for the difference and out-tough the other Spurs. The answer could be yes. But I'm going Spurs in 7.

Knicks hanging in so far...even with Brunson out for a stretch.

I was pulling hard for Spurs to beat OKC because I can't stand the Thunder.

I'm still pulling for Spurs...but a little more indifferent on this series. Just want it to be close.

That turnover at the end of game two will likely be a death blow to the Spurs. That was a must win game.

If I'm a Knick fan making $500K per year, I buy tickets to game 5 in San Antonio. If Spurs win one game, you might see your team clinch for $5K. (This includes tickets, nice hotel and airfare.) Can't get in the garden for twice that.

Defense in the second half was terrible: NY outscored the Spurs by 30 points! Still, the Spurs should bd able to win Saturday despite their performance in games 1 & 2.

Remembering the Miracle on the Brazos, 74. You could feel the energy when we got the deficit down to single digits. Same feel at the garden last night.

That flagrant 1 called against Wemby seemed to change the course of the game.
Maybe I am delusional but I am not sure how a defender picking up up Wembys leg and trying to put him on the floor is not a Flagrant foul, yet Wemby just raising up his arm to get around Towns warranted a Flagrant 1.
The first was not a basketball move, no ball in play etc. the second was not intentional and in the act of trying to get potion on defense, and yet he got called. I have to think in the back of his mind he knew one more flagrant call and he would be suspended.
The physicality of the playoffs has gotten out of control. You should not be able to hold, push and knock players out of position without a foul called. I appreciate the refs "letting them play" but it has turned into a wrestling match and then someone will get frustrated and they make a Flagrant call. Half of these would not happen if they controlled the game better.

In the NBA Finals, only 1 team has come back from a 3-1 deficit:

Cleveland over Golden State in 2016.

That was once in 38 tries.

In general, I think only 2 teams in the modern era have been down by 2-0 or 2-1 in a Finals series and rattled off 3 straight wins to take the title:

Miami over Dallas in 2006 (actually won 4 in a row)

Golden State over Cleveland in 2015

I think the '95 rockets did it but not in the Finals. I think it was in the Western Conference Finals. Not sure. Have lost many brain cells since then.

Spurs are too young for this stage--this year. "Odds" don't mean much IMO since the Spurs have botched two games they should have won with possibly a third in the "could have realm". Knicks are seasoned and tough and run an efficient offense which is foreign to the Spurs (evidently). Ought to be interesting though.

I thought that lack of experience and being so green in the playoffs would hurt them against OKC. Still can't believe they knocked them out. Probably won't get it done this year...but they are gonna be a problem for the NBA for a long time it looks like.

Unfortunately, that's all true. I went into this series doubtful the Spurs could win it. I'm still doubtful but have lots of hope. That one win was wonderful and if they can pull it off tonight it will be even better.
