Wow what a first half and what an exclamation point by Lindsey with the 3!

Lecomte and Acuil are shoring up probably our 2 biggest weaknesses from last year - offense from the PG and interior defense/size.

Acuil is a badass

Oregon broadcast says they didn't know how good he was

Ok so I see on this game cast that Oregon can't hit anything. Is our perimeter D doing the job? And Acuil is a monster!

Lecomte, Motley, Acuil, and Freeman is going to be such a fun quadric to watch.

love how easily Pritchard just leaves Lindsey there to help vs Manu's drive, definitely part of the scouting report... they won't hedge away from Jake as hard if he shows he can knock that down consistently, opening things up further for Manu to do his thing.

great half overall on offense, despite getting owned from everywhere but 3 point range, where we went 5-7.

very strong defensive half! Oregon shooting just 9-32

Acuil has 11 rebounds!

Oregon is no where near # 4 without Brooks but this is impressive for BU on national TV. Thankfully they are cold from 3.

That three from Lindsey was massive. Not only to put the lead at double digits but you could tell he was getting a little frustrated with fouls and turnovers. And Acuil and Lecomte are massive improvements over last year. You can tell Lecomte has played high level international basketball. He's just so composed.

and they were both on campus practicing with and getting to know these guys... no worries about having to develop their chemistry in-game, which is huge.

it just dawned on me today that we start 4 guys that have redshirted. that is incredible.

Acuil is the answer inside BU needed this season. He is matching up great with Jordan Bell.

This team has lacked a legit rim presence for a while. What Rico brought on offensive rebounds was awesome, but Acuil's rebounding AND rim protection is a MAJOR upgrade.

Lecomte is incredible. Why did he transfer out of Miami?

He was behind Angel Rodriguez. Thankfully he came to Baylor.

Manu 13 pts, 3 rebs, 2 assists
Motley 8 pts, 3 rebs
Acuil 4 pts, 11 rebs, 1 assist

5 blocks for the team and I think Acuil has 4

you may remember the reason why he transferred when he played for Frank Martin at Kansas St. his name is Angel Rodriguez. Manu is a leader and wanted to be the guy, so he left. simple as that.

Manu saw an opportunity here and liked what Drew had done with his point guards, especially P-Jax and Tweety.

Having a guard like Lecomte or Jackson keeps you competitive vs. anyone. I'm not a big fan of guard like Medford and Chery who do possess an outside shot but tend to take awful low percentage long two pointers. Lecomte is a MUCH better point guard than them as well.

The body control Acuil is showing is impressive. He is snagging boards and blocking shots and he has done it all without picking up a foul

Love Rico, but all his size wasn't an enforcer inside.

I noted last game that it took him til deep into the 2nd half to commit his first foul, and that it would be interesting to watch, as that could be bad or good. seems good so far!

Rico's lack of defense and even moreso his lack of any low post offensive game was infuriating. I bet he averaged 4 missed layups a game. And he was closer to 6'7. He was the best rebounder in the nation but he had two major flaws.

By the way, ESPN is making sure we're all aware just how "shorthanded" Oregon is for this game, over and over and...

Amazing they had enough guys to fill out the starting lineup.

Oh of course. If we win I bet we'll get 2 highlights to Oregon's 4.

in Chery's defense, his midrange game was pretty sweet. his JR year he shot 47% from 2, but there was a big fall-off his SR year to 38.5%. Medford did have a penchant for taking some bad long 2s and shot 41%/42% from 2

neither were good at the rim, which was a problem. Manu isn't great, but I think he will be better than both at finishing.

Manu is smarter than Medford and more athletic and just as under control as Chery. pretty good combo.
