backing up my post... we are #4 in effective D, #8 in effective FG % D, #12 3-point % D, #16 2-point % D, #17 block %, but just #196 in % of turnovers forced

so we are very efficient at forcing low % shots, but when we aren't, and teams are getting good shots, we don't turn teams over often enough to make up for it.

We had not allowed any team over 39pts (most less than 30) in the 1st half all season and Ole Miss of all teams puts up 42 on us.

Ole Miss #97 in Off according to KenPom and they are the team who goes off on us.

My theory. The Big XII makes its living off of upper-class heavy teams with plenty of experience, not as much on kids fresh out of high school with a high ceiling. As a result, in Nov/Dec, we good...those Freshmen-heavy teams not so much. However, as the season progresses, those young teams get better, while the Big XII teams, especially Baylor, are pretty much the same teams they were at Thanksgiving.

Just at-the-half idle chatter.

might be on to something. Of course OU did go to the Final 4 last year. Hopefully, we will follow suit with our experience.

Was thinking about this today w/ Baylor. Nuni is really our only player who has improved in conference while other teams are having players gain confidence and make a difference. I also don't like how we haven't been able to cut our lineup down to less than 8. It's like we're gambling hoping something will work and I think players like Freeman who need to feel comfortable out there are worried about getting pulled if they make a mistake.

We just have really average guards. First time we haven't had at least one stud running the perimeter.

Anyone else think it's a little shady to advertise their ESPN/SEC logo at commercials? I understand they do that in SEC games but it's such a conflict of interest for other conferences.

Kind of what I expected. We play terrible against garbage teams we know and barely win. Not surprised a garbage team we don't know is beating us
