Outcome determines if a major player in the conference will participate this season. TCU got some very good players through the portal, will be interesting. With her height, Prince hard to defend.

Losing dre and aijha, was a big loss for the team but getting vonleh, kyla back, and Kayla Nelms. I feel like we are in for another great season. And with that we get a extra shooter jn jennings


This team is a really good nice balanced roster, im expecting great things this year for this team because after this year Im not sure what the future looks like for this team.

I have high hopes for Vonleh, she was a good catch for us. Kyla showed some skills her freshman year, yet took the option to redshirt last year to give the two upperclassmen their time. She could have chosen to transfer, but staying shows she wanted to be at BU. Having some seasoned vets like Jada, Buggs, Bella, Jana, and YaYa at the core helps. They do seem to enjoy playing together. A breakout freshman would be great, if Nelms is up to it. Height would be a great help, but someone might still commit.

I think Bartley will be more effective this year. Kyla will benefit from practicing with Dre and Aijha last season. Vonleh's experience and strength will be the crucial to our ability to compete up front. I expect DLB and Bella to be even better. Barring injury we may not need to rely on Nelms for significant minutes but I hope she can force her way onto the court enough to prepare her for a much bigger role her sophomore year.

I hope Bartley has overcome her back issues because we really need her in the paint. Also Jennings may be a big surprise, I really like her positive attitude.

This is another reason why it is so important for Bartley to be in the mix. We will need all the height we can get to defend her. Vonleh's strength and experience, Kyla's athleticism, and Bartley outside shooting threat and experience may be enough overcome her size and offense ability.

Bartley also has enough strength to hold up decently. I wonder how a springy defender like Kyla could do against her? Front or play behind. I might play to deny. Thoughts?

I think have kyla front guard her and hit every pass away from her, or steal it.

TCU beat #13 NC State 76-73; 31 points and 16 rebounds for Prince. Looks like she's healthy for now.

iowa state loses big to in-state northern iowa, 85-75. fennelly bemoans playing in-state games but then doesn't.

I've always liked Bill and at one time preferred him if Mulkey left. But he just seems to be the UT of women's basketball.......does less with more (great shooters and dead-eyes at the FF line). Perhaps its the style of play and you just can't sustain that in every game. But I know he gave some of our best teams fits.

Crooks, Ryan, and Brown are a handful. As I remember, Ryan and Brown are very good midrange shooters. Crooks is hard to defend in the paint as she seems to shoot around any defenders, even those taller than her. I don't recall ISU ever being that great on defense; just score, score, score.

#9 Kansas State falls to #13 Duke 73-62. Duke G Ashlon Jackson put up 30.

Iowa state barely beat Drake the other day

This is why I laughed at a poster saying this was the Clones best team…. It's not, not even close. Uni wiped the floor with ISU. Clones are a good not great team. Same with KSU. Honestly TCU has been the most impressive to date. But they're relying on Two players in Scherr and Prince who are injured an awful lot. That's gotta be concerning

UCF did lose to UNLV 19 points yesterday.

Utah loses to Mississippi State 66-62.

According to the ESPN scroll bar, ISU went ahead 3-0 and then SC had a 32-0 run. ISU went 15 minutes without scoring.

The game was much much worse than the score indicates as hard as that might be to believe.

#17 TCU plays #3 Notre Dame today at 4pm on Flo Sports. Unranked BYU plays #22 Iowa at 8pm on Flo Sports. #12 WVU beat High Point U 89-54; Quinerly scored 22. UH loses to Minnesota 61-44. Kansas squeaks by Northern Iowa ( who beat ISU) 76-73.

Looks like they bought them a good team. And you know money was involved if Van Lith is on the team. You have a good chance to be correct, but I suspect there will be upsets along the way regardless of the rosters and then you throw in the unbalanced schedules both who and where you play. Certainly will be interesting.

There will be upsets but keep in mind they played without Maddie Scherr (3rd best player) and still beat a legitimate F4 contender in ND.
Prince looks like the player she was billed as out of HS. She's also finally healthy. Not sure I trust she can stay healthy though. If I was a TCu fan that would be my concern all season

The Utes outscored ND in three quarters. Glad they got beaten by 2 Big12 teams!

#12 WV plays #5 Texas today at 6:30 CT on FloSports. Both are undefeated (8-0 and 5-0 respectively).

Texas 76, WV 73. 54 fouls called and lots of TOs. Rough game. This is the first game to test UT; they won others by 40+.
