Seemed to play so very passionately, even if not perfectly. I was surprised she didn't get more minutes in the second half given her performance in the early part of the game. I'm impressed with her hustle!

Agreed, she is starting to catch up to d1 pace. She was doing well. Thought she would play a little more with the lead so big.

Like her effort on D although she still looks a little mechanical. When she is totally comfortable in speed and scheme, I am hopeful she can really help us. Got beat off dribble at least twice but recovers well. I really liked her jump stop near FT line 2nd quarter. We need more players who can do that consistently. She showed that shot in JUCO and I hope it becomes a consistent part of her game here. Cheering for her.

I thought it looked like she tweaked something in the first half. She typically is very energetic and all smiles on the bench but she wasn't in the 2nd half.

Perhaps there was an injury. That would explain it all. Tired of injuries already.

What I liked most about her was when she made a bad pass that was intercepted, she did not give up on the play - she went right after the ball and ended up stealing the ball back. I saw her slight limp and she was not as animated and jumping around on the bench cheering her teammates during the second half as she normally is. Hoping it was just a tweak not something more serious.

Yes! We definitely do not need more injuries.

It will be interesting to see if Waiz ends up getting an additional year b/c of this Pavia thing

So far the ruling is just for Pavia but you can be sure there will be challenges in court to make it universally apply. That would be great if it could help Walz in the future.

Pavia won. Another loss for the NCAA and their archaic rules. Walz should petition today for 5 years of eligibility

I hope she does. I think she has the potential to be a very good player for us.

I think Jennings made a strong case for more game minutes vs Utah Tech. Yes, she makes mistakes but what I really like .... she never gives up - several times this season she has made a bad pass that got intercepted and she goes right after the ball and sometimes she has gotten the ball back. She reminds me a bit of Melissa Jones where she seems to have a "nose for the ball". Even Nicki signaled her good game out in her post game presser.
She had a 3 ball disqualified because of a 3 second call. Too bad it was a bountiful perfect parabola nothing but net 3 ball

Jennings has all the signs of someone who is a decent role player in the regular season and then bursts on the scene in March or April after a key injury to one of our stars and has a breakthrough game that makes it onto Sports Center the next morning.

I'm not an expert, but seems like Jennings could be eligible for an additional year now. The one wrench I can think of is that she's an international player, so thus can't receive NIL, which is the cudgel for this whole thing for Pavia

ESPN article

The NCAA Division I Board of Directors on Monday approved a blanket waiver granting an additional year of eligibility to former junior college transfers in similar positions to Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia, opening the door for a wave of college athletes across all sports to spend one more year in college athletics.

According to an NCAA memo, the waiver extends an extra year of eligibility in 2025-26 to athletes who previously "competed at a non-NCAA school for one or more years" and otherwise would have exhausted their NCAA eligibility following the 2024-25 season.
