Why did coach continue to allow Vonleh or Kyla to rush to double HVL.

1. It was ineffective, she is agile, they are posts
2. If caused a foul to be called on Vonleh
3. It left Prince wide open or guarded by a guard who committed a foul due to mismatch

I could understand if done once or twice a game, but this was the modus operandi which was ineffective, predictable, and called invaluable posts to risk fouls. In fact, TCU seemed to be planning on it as an easy pass to Prince. But we did it over and over.

Appreciate the grit in our girls and coach who kept fighting. We just need another forward to survive.

I do not know. Not something I would suggest. A couple of times we had two centers together at the top of the key. Our ladies were really hustling and did their best. We do not do well against a six-foot seven center.

Perhaps because everything else we had tried in the past two games was causing us to come up short?

Eventually it didn't matter. We lost all three games by essentially 3 points. I suspect if by some miracle we meet them in a regional final or FF, we would once again try a different tactic....although there may not be another one to try that is going to be any better than what we have tried in the three games. Elite players are going to find a way against a defense and with a highly effective 6'7" center who is just as accurate 15 feet away as 2 feet away and can reach for and grab high passes over a shorter defense, you may have to just start throwing stuff at the wall and hope something sticks.

I don't think the hard-hedging is why we lost. We struggled on offense again (though definitely were better than last week) and fouled too much. Our options were probably hard hedge or fight over screen. In latter case we were fouling as well.
