The NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Transfer Portal begins March 30th.

We could use 4 new players that have established them selves as being able to help take Baylor to the next level, It will become interesting very fast. Also as teams are eliminated in the NCAA Tournament, more players will enter the Transfer Portal. I have no idea if any Baylor players will decide to leave.

Rumors around town that Crooks is portal bound when ISUs season ends. Not sure how valid the talk is at this point.

That would be shocking. From the outside she seems happy there.

Yeah I'd be genuinely surprised if this turned out to be true. But definitely talk of that being a real possibility going around

I've always thought Bill Fennelly would be miserable to play for.

Bills definitely a hard ass. No doubt about that. But I've met him multiple times. He's a nice dude. Does a lot for the community financially. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea from a coaching perspective. But I've never met someone who thought negatively of him as a person

How tall is Crooks?

I've only stood next to her a few times. My best guess would be 6'1-6'2 tops. I'm right around 6. She's not much taller than me. She's definitely not 6'3 like she's listed

I wonder if Nicki would pursue her?

I would think if Crooks does in fact enter that CNC would at least take a look at her. I don't know that I believe she will actually enter. Like the poster mentioned above Audi does seem genuinely happy here. But at the same time a lot of stuff goes on behind the scenes that we as a public don't see.

I actually mentioned this to a friend the other day. She isn't being utilized. And while her game has improved year over year, her team hasn't. Hard to get excited about being an All American when you're a bubble team for the NCAA tournament. Wouldn't shock me.

This RUMOR seems to be getting more factual by the post. LOL

Truth is both TCU & BU are going to need some serious help from the portal. There'll be plenty to choose from. Getting the "superstars" is quite difficult though.

BYU transfer Amari Whiting is already hearing from several high-level programs, she told @On3sports.

These include Big 12, ACC and Big Ten schools.

She told On3 which programs have reached out and what she’s looking for in a landing spot.

Whiting told On3 that she's already heard from several high-level programs in the 24 hours or so since entering the portal. She told On3 that those programs include Arizona, Oklahoma State, Iowa State, Louisville, UCF, SMU, Nebraska, Colorado and Texas Tech.

Several notable transfers from OSU in recent years...a Joens sister, Denarski, Diew, and Fritz. Fritz mentioned she wanted to try a different offense from " dribble, dribble, pass to Joens" . Supposedly Fennelly has been grooming Crooks since junior high. Watching and playing for a coach two different things. He definitely didn't press her to get in better shape.

Is she getting an exception because of coaching change? I thought players couldn't be contacted until portal officially opens.

Wayyyy more to the Fritz story that much I know for a fact.

Yes, I'm aware.... so player can enter portal prior to season end, but can't do official visit until portal opens? There's two dates mentioned on this thread...March 17 and March 30 as opening date. On3 shows players entering portal in February. NCAA site shows WBB transfer window open March 25-April 23 for D1 programs.

Well once a head coach is gone. Then a player can enter within next 30 days it is a rule.
