Watching videos of her on YouTube and X, a few thoughts:
a. She's fast. Kiersten really gets up and down the floor. We'll have a group of Posts and Forwards next year who can REALLY run, with Kiersten, Kyla, Buggs, Bella, and Kiera (and maybe Marcayla, but can't find video of her).
b. She can block shots. She's a long 6'4", and can elevate, and seems to have a natural feel for shotblocking.
c. She's a warm, poised, bright personality. There's a couple of clips from interviews, and she's instantly likable.
d. Her highlights and talents don't match her stats. She only averaged 7 minutes/game with OU this year. Now it's true that OU had an elite frontcourt which included Raegan Beers, Skylar Vann, and Liz Scott, so minutes were hard to find. But still, with the athletic talent and statistics Kiersten put up in her Frosh and Sophomore campaigns, it's hard to imagine they only found 7 minutes/game for her in her Junior year.
Let's hope that in Waco Kiersten finds the perfect match of teammates, style, and need for her game. It's easy to believe that she's ready for a breakout year.
