Do we have a press conference from CNC about the Iowa game? Would like to hear what she thinks going into tonight.

Media for WBB always seems to be a struggle. Just watched Iowa's preview of the Baylor game…clear, sharp optics…and you can hear the questions too. Amazing, wonder how they do that?

Love Jana, but she has contributed nothing on the offensive end this year.

No matter what happens in this game, the minutes Nelms is getting are going to pay off for us big time later in the season.

The team MUST stop settling for jumpers and attack the paint. Two dribbles to attack the zone seam and pass. The 5 is so high that the dump down pass is available.

Why continue to shoot 3's instead of attacking the basket. Why doesn't CNC recognize the fact that our 3's are not falling (except for Scott) and call for attacking the rim?

Baylor is not rebounding at all when the 3 ball is shot.

Missing the foul shots (Abraham & Buggs) as well as relying on the 3 ball (except for Scott) is going to cost us this game.

Buggs is doing great with rebounds but she is not putting the ball back up into the basket.

When JVG receives the pass, she stands immobile as if she doesn't know what to do next. Standing idle with the ball is a detriment to our offense as the other team then has time to adjust. If you don't know what to do with the ball, when you have it in your hands, then you need to sit down and let someone else play who isn't thinking about what to do next and does what is needed because they have played well enough to know from memory what actions to take.

I rue these players who throw the ball up near the basket hoping the ball goes into the basket without understanding what the term "layup" really means. Tossing the ball into the air near the backboard is terrible form. Repeatedly watch Caitlyn Clark's layups and you will learn how a top point guard scores when using the backboard.

We're in year five and the disciple hasn't gotten much better. These ladies are supposed to be playing at an elite level. I played college ball and know that you break a zone by cutting to the high post. This has the potential to be another long, disappointing season. Iowa is not that good. And Buggs is going to have to figure out how she coexists with Scott. Right now she seems lost. And the lackluster inbound pass is 100% unacceptable. I've struggled with CNC for the last half decade. I've met her on multiple occasions. Great woman, but feel the program isn't getting better at this point. Hope the team proves me wrong over the next few months. But this just wasn't a good performance on a national stage. Terribly disappointing.
