I don't recall any Lady Bear game of the past where only one player seemed to dominate the scoring like Talia Scott did tonight. Surely Iowa wasn't that good on defense.

This is a one-woman team! Bella had a bad offensive night. Buggs missed more shots than she made. KJ seemed invisible. JVG cannot get a shot off inside the three-point line. They never run plays for Deng and she is our best mid-range shooter and a pretty good three-point shooter. The weakness of the team is lack of a good point guard. I hope we can get it figured out.

It really hasn't been an outlier all season. Baylor has relied heavily on Scott's scoring all season. That could change. But last night definitely wasn't an outlier

So far this team has been a "one scorer" and "one scorer" only team. Without her 24, 29,& 23 points against Duke, Lindenwood, and UNLV all three of those "close games" would have been losses as well. It's hard to imagine what the final score would have looked like tonight without Scotts awesome contributions. If somebody else doesn't start stepping up, particularly Buggs & Bella, the Big 12 gauntlet could get rough. TCU, ISU, WV, OSU, & possibly even TT are not looking bad.

I just looked at our conference schedule for the first time. That is the gauntlet. We have road games at OSU, ISU, Utah, BYU and WVU with no return games in Waco. We could have a much better team this year than last, yet not do as well. I really hate these unbalanced schedules.
Something can be said about your list of teams. Not that long ago it was Baylor and one other (rotating sometimes) and then a bunch of pushovers. That is no longer the case with OSU, ISU, WVU and TCU all being in the top 25. There was really only one that could challenge us (UT or WVU, primarily). That has really changed regardless of our relative strength across the years. The only upside is that we are now better prepared by conference play for the NCAAs....but the downside is the beating you take getting to the NCAAs.

I want to know why she wears the number 0 jersey? That was Odyssey Sim's number which was retired.

I think it has something to do with honoring the player, but not actually retiring the jersey, which kind of defeats the purpose, imo.
When it comes to Baylor jerseys, three should truly be retired, and not worn again:
0
33
42
