Are either of the other point guards going to come back from their injuries this season?

Well I saw Ella Brow without a boot today which was a first for me to see. Don't know timeline.

Now Ines should be back in January.

Do you know when Ella's injury occurred. Did she come from the portal with the injury and it is taking longer for her to get back than was expected? I don't know much about her.

I know Ella didn't play in the exhibition game against west Texas A&M due to injury. She was fine when the first open practice on September 22 occurred so it had to between that and the west Texas a&m game.

Probably, but neither is really projected to be a rotation player. If our passing/offense ends up improving it'll have to come from Jana/Taliah/Deng/Marcayla somehow

Any chance we might get a December graduate PG through portal for conference play, like Carrington or Matharu came in January? Is there anyone "in the know" about CNC possibly looking that route?

We have the space. I hope she will look for one. Men are adding a big at break so I hope she could add a good PG, but I'm sure quality may be limited and we won't be alone in needing a PG.

Ruby Whitehorn is not a PG but might be available. Can't think of anyone else in Matharu-mold. Tbh I am fine with taking our lumps this year with some players, even if we don't reap the rewards until next year.

Reported that if Bodo Bodo doesn't come back at break they have a Euro big targeted who is supposedly very good.

Very talented and tossed by Vols for repeated charges (assault?) in her 2 yrs there. No thanks. Hopefully someone else serviceable will break free.

Pemberton has the type of footspeed and quick movement that is needed by a point guard. If she has the vision needed, she might be able to make a serviceable backup. Her height would be a asset.

Ok good, when I watched her videos when we signed her she looked like a 2 guard. Hope she is a true pg. not a 2 trying to be a 1.

Hope she gets on the court soon. We need her when we play good teams.

I am worried about the PG position. Jana court vision and anticipation is not good. Injury or not, she isn't starting PG at this level. Backup yes. But, then we have to fill Pg with SGs. Then we have Ines who was shown to me to be listed as a PG ( I love her 3pt shot and we need that) but she hasn't played in over a year.

Against good teams Jana will be locked up and we need a better option. Hope it can be found or adapted.


Was excited to see another outside scorers in Ines next to Scott. Hope her knee (dislocated, meniscus tear, and ACL tear ) will allow her to be slashing like she did in high school. Excited to see her play
