I'll be there for the whole enchilada. I'll be sitting with Acoustimac from Iowa State. Don't know if you've ever met him but I'm sure you've read some of his stuff if you ever check in on Cyclone Fanatics. He contributes more than anyone else on the WBB board. You oughta look us up. We might could learn each other something.

Have to admit - Baylor got a good draw on this. They can beat WV if they are hitting their shots. They shouldn't have an issues with their first game. And hopefully Tech and TCU can wear each other out in their semi. Happy to stay away from Tech, TCU, and Iowa State. Though I have to assume Audi will struggle to play so many games in short succession, and their offense runs almost exclusively through her.

On that note - not at all impressed with the team or the coaching that has been done this season. But I cannot image the fruition Iowa State fans must be feeling right now. I'm not sure anyone expected them to struggle like they have. And finishing 7th just seems painful to their faithful.

While the draw could have been worse, we can absolutely have issues with our first opponent, assuming it's Colorado.

The Buffs gave us fits in Waco and have also beaten TCU and Tech.

And with the way CNC mismanages her personnel, none of us should feel comfortable about any match-up moving forward.

As for Iowa State, they are a much better team now than they were at the beginning of January, when they were trying to figure things out after the injury to Addy Brown (she missed the next 11 games after our matchup with the Cyclones, and they ended up losing the first 4 games they played without her).

Since then, they've won 8 of 11, including a win at Tech. They also had TCU on the ropes in Fort Worth, but blew a 13-point 4th quarter lead against the Frogs.

Don't be surprised if they go on a bit of a run and face us in the semifinals instead of WVU (assuming we win our first game). They'll have a homecourt edge against both ASU and WVU, and I could see them winning both games.

While I get what you're saying - I give us an advantage against Colorado given they play the day before. And Iowa State is 100% improved. But I don't see them having much gas playing for a third day in a row. But you are entirely right - CNC has mismanaged both game and personnel enough to teach us that ANY game is losable.

If we don't get offensive production from others not named Scott then this team will be one and done.

First thing is for Scott to be able to hit an uncontested shot. That as much as anything was a killer yesterday.

Very true. But that speaks to one of my frustrations with this team, and illustrates the point of my post. Who can be counted on to pick up the slack when Scott's shots don't fall?

B12's start today! Who yall got? IU see a chalk day!
KSU
BYU
ASU
KU are my winners for today's games

It's funny that it worked out to having 2 big rivalry games in round 1 (BYU/Utah and Arizona/ASU); one of those could go against the seeds just because. It will probably go chalk, but I think AU might be cooking up a surprise for the Sun Devils.

BYU plays Houston today. But your overall thought is still correct. If they win (seems likely) they'll get Utah tomorrow. Az over ASU is a nice dawg pick. I'm going chalk today. But I think (matchup dependent) a dawg of 2 win tomorrow

KSU has tied the B12 tournament record for 3's in a game and it's still in the 3rd quarter

Duh, that's what I get for trying to read the bracket without my glasses. I saw a 'U' and the color red and thought it was Utah not Houston. Sorry.

I don't think this is a great draw. Colorado has proven to be a spoiler, and WV is exactly the kind of team that eats our lunch. They are the most pressing team in big 12. Our shots will not fall because they give you zero space, and we Do not know how to create space. We also have not been able to break any press. Sorry to be negative, but WV will eat our lunch. Refs let them bully unabated.

Just my personal guesses but I'm not sure sure Baylor sees Colorado or WV.

Nice 4th quarter, Tech. KSU advances after ending the game on a 21-0 run.

Texas tech has lost the last 4 out of 6 games. I would fade them and say no better than round of 32. Sorry but I wouldn't trust them right now.

Wonder if their legs have finally given out after all the pressing they have done the latter part of the season.

can anybody tell me, why, in the wide, wide world of sports, Baylor has a mediocre, at best, girl's basketball coach that has an overpriced contract that lasts for four more years past this season? let me guess, Mack Rhoades? When will anyone tell our administration that we don't have to bind ourselves into inescapable contracts to achieve mere mediocrity?

BYU knocks of Utah. Creme had Utah as the first team out of the tourney, and BYU as the fifth team out. It will be interesting if this costs the Big 12 a spot.

Likely going to be easy W's tomm for OSU and TCU as both KSU and BYU will be on dead legs

Maybe the KSU fans will show up and give the wildcats a lift.

I've never been convinced of the dead legs until about the 4th game. There is something to be said to be on the high of momentum from winning going against a team that has been sitting on their butts for the better part of a week.

I guess it might depend on the condition of the legs coming in and how much the primarily starters have been playing the last part of the season. I know that dead legs caught up to us in 2022, but our players had been playing almost 40 minutes a game, game after game for lack of a bench. And if a team gets hot shooting and starts to get on a roll early in the game, adrenaline may kick in to provide the energy to get through that game......and then they hit the wall in the next one.

Is this a reflection on the "coach of the year" or just a reflection on the variability of basketball?

Tech's perimeter has accumulated a sizable amount of minutes this season.
Much like 2021/2022 Baylor WBB, they are limping into post season.

I didn't see the game and I don't know if she was tripled team, but didn't we use a game plan to limit her touches?

Bought tickets to this evenings session. Miller can coach. The Clones beat ASU by 30 not long ago. The adjustments are noticeable
