That's all they are. A bunch of trolls. I have made it well known that I am Kalani's sister and would love to have this discussion with anybody who's up for it when I'm in town for graduation in May. I'm done talking here.
First of all - happy to meet you. I have been a big fan of Kalani's for as long as I've known about her and her family. And that hasn't changed.
But do keep this in mind. There are, what, 400-500 members, minimum, who read and post to this board? And how many of those individuals made derogatory/mean-spirited remarks about Kalani in this whole thing? Maybe 4 or 5? You've got to know that anytime there is ANY subject up for discussion, there are almost certainly going to be a minimum of the 1% in this example who are likely to say something out of the mainstream of opinion, or just out right uncalled for.
You do yourself a disservice if you then paint the entire group with a broad brush. Everyone, obviously did not react this way.
Certainly, and especially given that we are talking about family here, this whole thing no doubt totally pissed you off. Understandable. But let's face it, almost EVERY ONE in here at some point gets talked about badly, cussed at, or generally trashed for one reason or another. Not that that is a good thing! But....it is the nature of these crazy boards. Keyboard warriors who will say and do anything they want since they can't be identified and dealt with in a proper manner...
I said it before, and I'll say it again - I'll guarantee you that the vast majority (my guess would be over 99%) of BU WBB fans who have followed the players for their entire careers, and have watched how they represent themselves as well as the University, would tell you that they have only the ultimate respect for Kalani - as a person, and as a member of Baylor nation as a fantastic basketball player.
I can't begin to tell you how proud I am that Kalani and your mom and dad chose Baylor. I would hope you would not let one singular bad moment, in stark contast to the 100's of wonderful times, jade your memories and opinion of Baylor. You will always be part of us...
